Mark walked to the edge of the bridge slowly. It was rocking back and forth slightly as he went.
"Is this a good idea?" He said turning back to look at the group. He was having second thoughts.
They murmured. If the bridge had held up until now, their own weight shouldn't make much of an impact. Purple sparks danced up from the vortex below as it surged with energy. Mark sighed and took a first step. Here goes nothing. The first segment was the hardest. He maintained a steady pace after that one, never once looking back until he reached the other side. Putting foot on solid ground was reassuring. That thing did not feel safe.
"Okay guys...take it slow...." He shouted across, though his voice was drained out by the vortex below which was bellowing out energy at a faster rate now.
General Chuikov went across next. He took each step carefully and boldly. Eleanor followed suit. They both came across onto the other side with sighs of relief. Kristoff muttered all the way across, speaking silently to himself and dreading the worst but his passage was safe. The others were still waiting as Airlea took her first step. It was now or never. She gritted her teeth and closed her eyes. As she reached the middle of the bridge a blast of energy rushed up to greet her, almost sending her toppling over the edge with a scream but she held on for dear life. She was a warrior and had seen worse than this.
"I think our presence make it angry." Said Mikhail as he looked down. The vortex seemed to be getting more agitated when they passed over it. He grabbed Airlea's hand and helped her down to the rock. She took it and stepped as far away as she could physically manage.
Brittany smiled and skipped ahead next.
"This isn't so ba-" She began as the ground beneath her burst forth with a stream of purple energy. It danced along the side and caught her unawares. She let out a horrible shrill scream as she dangled over the edge.
"Hang on!" Shouted Hobert, vowing to be the one to save the day. He rushed across the bridge to where she was standing and reached out for her hand. Brittany clung on, refusing to let go with her eyes clenched shut.
"MAKE IT STOP!" She screamed. Hobert reached and reached but it was useless. She was losing what little grip she had.
And then the floor opened. An enormous blast arced up skywards and cracked through the wood of the bridge, rocking it and shaking it to the point of snapping. The plank splintered and cracked and Hobert dashed away screaming. Peter reached out his hand and grabbed it, hoisting Hobert up to the ledge. It all happened in a flash.
Finally the air cleared and Brittany was nowhere to be seen. The two groups were stood on opposite ends of the platform. Eleanor, Mark, Airlea, Kristoff and the General to the West; Hobert, Peter, Frederick, Sophia and Dennis to the East.
"What happened?!" Shouted Kristoff but it was no good. Sound wouldn't travel anymore. He waved his hands to the group on the other side but he gave up once his arms started to ache. The air hummed with whatever foul purple energy had swallowed Brittany up. There was no trace of her.
"We need to keep moving." Said Mark, edging towards the Western exit. There was nothing left for them here. He pressed the door release as the others joined him sullenly.
The room beyond was a standard size with exits to the North, East and West. The Northern and the Western side each contained stairs leading down to the exits. It seemed like this was the last raised segment.
The group were feeling miserable. The sight of the body did little to raise morale. Kristoff leaned over to study it carefully. It had been torn to shreds and it had been out here a very long time. But he still recognised the tired, bold face of Lincoln. Admittedly that face had seen better days but still. He glanced up and took in everything else the room had to offer.
A number of stone tiles lay across the floor. Four of them were raised and contained a single letter. The letters read: "M, C, V, D" each. In between the tiles was a solid black one that seemed to absorb and bend the light that touched it. It was very curious indeed. He brushed his hand across the surface. It flickered and danced slightly. This one was a screen, not a tile.
It is now Phase 58. Phase 58 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Well fuck. This is kind of shit. And we lost Frederick on top of that.
Poor Hobert is alone basically with the inactives. |

You know what I'm just going to go for these, if I die, we just go back to them and I stay here abandoned.
##Step: M |

It's the initials of the 4 Guardians, do you think it will unlock their rooms?

Mark braced himself as he took a bold step forth, onto the tile labelled M. The room turned dark around him and he immediately regretted it as the tile sank in place. He shut his eyes, expecting the worst but nothing happened.
"Look at that!" Kristoff announced excitedly. Mark turned to see.
The screen in the middle had changed. It was displaying a message in green. Letters and numbers. He scratched his head trying to figure out what it meant. The message read:
"M - 12N, 5W"
And just as soon as it was there, it went again. The lights around him returned to normal. |

Trust me, I noticed. The roles he seemed to be helping the most are the exact ones he was separated from, and he had been following me. |
|
I'm guessing that's a location to each Guardian room. 12 north and 5 west would be that NW room. |

Mark took another careful step forwards onto the tile labelled "C". The message on the surface changed once again as the lights dimmed. This time the text came up as:

And they are lining up on the map. |
|
Alright so.
Let's look at this.
Brittany's probably dead.
All of our weapons except the knife are with them.
The shotgun and the ammo are separated.
We lost Sophia, and Hobert, and Frederick's ability.
But we know where all the guardians are. |

Airlea, is there any chance I can see the notes/notepad, I only have a few of the room scans since 40. |

I don't have them, I think Boone has them somewhere in his group. |

So you mean I can't make a flipbook.
GOD DAMN IT. |
|
Lol Can you make a very, very small one from 1 page of paper? ;) |
|
There's really going to be a lot of issues moving forth now. And there's not much we can do.
With Angela dead we have no concept of who's dead, who's not.
So currently, as we know it, there are 6 groups paroling the labyrinth.
- Team Gold
- Team Aqua (A)
- Team Aqua (B)
- Tyrese
- Brittany
- Urk
On top of all of this, Brittany had our portal, and our key. We have no idea where we're going with unexplored territory. We don't have Dennis so if we run into a room with one exit and it's locked, we have to turn around. We don't get double checks anymore.
And with a guardian only 4 West you can best there's going to be some gnarly traps, and locked doors. |
|
|

Totally! I'll send it to you and everything. |
|
Double check this please? Going from the results, I wanted to pass them on to Boone and figured giving him the plots would be easier since he isn't in the same room.

Also, those are all correct, though I don't know on an actual map, because like, do room sizes come into account? |

Well, when I first started trying to plot them based on rooms regardless of size it was way off. Then I backed up and went to just blocks and it seemed to fit exactly, especially with the two that landed on the outside edges of the lab. So, I'm sort of thinking it's based on standard size rooms as cubes.

Alright.
But then it's different for Eleanor's scans?
That's confusing. |
|
Ahhh so Minos was where we thought. And Cassandra is very close. Lets hope easier to access than Virgil and Minos have proven to be. |
|
Virgil was up high... Perhaps this explains why they could not teleport into the room. |
|
Well I'm assuming were headed for Cassandra, Kristy Krist can you scan the West please and thank you, I'll exit tomorrow.

We really could have used this room 50 phases ago. Also congrats, we have now passed the length of the previous game. |

Scan their room? (would they just be trapped in the bridge room?) And depending what I am scanning for, it may be better to wait until closer to the end of the phase. |

Fucking hell. I hate to be the one to put a downer on things but we still need to figure out how to access the guardians don't we?
If we go searching for Cassandra, we are heading into uncharted territory. Maybe we should try getting the group back together first.
I was under the impression that those who were left at the other side of the bridge remained in this time line, so I can keep a trace on them.
|
|
|

That's confusing. |
My scan only includes existing rooms. It is pretty confusing, but now that most of the labyrinth is mapped it is starting to make sense...to me at least. |
|
This is unfortunate.
I doubt Brittany is dead but she probably is in past now. She probably wont survive long alone though.
What items do we have? |
|
It is also ironic we find most useful room in labyrinth in phase 58. |
|
I don't like how close to 9880 this room is.
If CoK had come this way early on, they would have known the location of all the guardians by about phase 10.
Which suggests that knowing the locations isn't the fucking hard part. |
|
Very unfortunate yes.
I assume we will run into similar problems we had with Minos as we try and release Cassandra. |
|
The problem with coming this way was that Cerby chased us. Given the difficulty in getting to the Guardians rooms, I would think we were suppose to find this room early. |
|
We gain nothing from bickering about it. We must play cards we have. What done is done.
We should check out Cassandra and hope rest of our group comes to us to find us. We will only lose time in backtracking and trying to find them. We should use time to explore and hope they figure out to come to us. Eleanor can keep eye on them yes?
Do we have walkie? This vital information should not die with us, if something happens. We should inform other group. Possibly 2-3 people in group, IF person with walkie is possibly scum? Cant hurt. |
|
RIP Lincoln as well. He was fine soldier and did not deserve fate like this. May he rest in peace. |
|
I must have missed part about Urk not being with his group anymore. What happened?
What is other group doing? |
|
I agree with Eleanor that is possible, reconnecting with the other group should be done. |
|
And yes Lincoln :(
One of the finest men I have ever met and certainly a fearless warrior. I wish I had done more to prevent him going first into that room. |
|
He was the second greatest loss I have personally incurred in this maze, after the staff of course. |
|
AquaB (We are obviously AquaA) can be in 9880 in 4 phases. |
|
I passed the map and coordinates to Boone already. They are traveling to the past with the staff in a few hours. Anything else I should tell them before they are gone from walkies? |
|
They know of our other group and will try to catch them. |
|
I almost wish we had Rita currently for Lincoln. The teleportation trap teleported Ezra to 9880* I'm curious as to whether Lincoln himself went west upon arriving there or through the staircase. We could have a lot more info, but alas.
I'd say they're most likely in the bridge room and it may be best to scan Aqua B to see what they're course of action is.. Assuming they have a course. |
|
Lincoln knew of stairs. He would have figured he could never catch up with us and decided to check this portion out to find something important. |
|
What items do we possess? |
|
To my knowledge - bow and arrows, walkie, notepad, knife, shotgun shells, crystal, rope. |
|
Perhaps we can tie shotgun shells to arrows with rope and have shotgunbow. Willis cant hope to fight against something so deadly. |
|
So do we go west toward the trap but also the Guardian? Or are we heading North toward 9880, possibly the elevated portion for that Guardian? Maybe there is a shuttle or something north as well.
The other group plans to teleport this phase, then collect Urk and head east and then north. Boone is hopeful that they can also catch up with the rest of our group.
Our group knew we were last heading to look for the balcony on 9880, correct? Do you think they would still head toward that room? Unfortunately, since the other groups decision was made later in the phase, I'm not sure if I had shared it here yet. I'm not sure any from that group would have saved the info before the split, I don't think many of them were even online. I sort of wonder what they even do know or have saved at this point. :\ |
|
Hobert will have to lead them I think. Him and Peter are most active ones. Lets hope they make for 9880.
|
|
It's up to you guys. Either way is fine with me. But if we go West, we can also probably find traces of Tyrese. And that could be important.
Actually, if my calculation was correct, Tyrese was teleported in the room one West. |
|
And then he moved one North.
So, maybe there is no West exit? |
