Rose touched statue in which Willis told us the story of the lab 1.0 in which Willis 2.0 slaughtered the group in that one. I lol'd at Ari's story of beating the minitaur. Also I was correct as Willis confirmed this is a cerberus which sounds much scarier than being just a cerberus. :| Note to self, make sure it doesn't lock on to my soul.
Another role reveal!
Iron Face
Win condition:
You win if you or any sane prisoners escape whilst you are still alive.
Role Type: Active
Role Ability:
If you come across any regular locked door in the labyrinth, you can open it without needing to find a key.
Drrr's old role
The Begger
Flavour:
Things have never gone well in your life. You came from nothing and thus far in, you have failed to move away from that nothing. If anything, your life has only fallen into deeper disarray.
You've never been an A-student, in fact, you have never gotten an A in your life. You have always aspired to help others and put them above your own well being, but even this generally ends in failure or personal tragedy.
When Willis found you out on the streets, he had an offer for you to become a part of something far bigger than anything you have ever experienced. And of course you decided to follow.
Win condition:
You win if you or any sane prisoners escape whilst you are still alive.
Role Type: Neutral
Role Ability:
Even though you have never been much of anything, you have always felt a connection to something bigger. While your kindhearted nature has never really helped anyone, and you possess no particular talents that could be of use here, you have always felt like there is something bigger out there for you, something grander...
For now though, there isn't much you can do.
New role after death
Role title: The Messiah
Flavour:
Once just a poor beggar down on your luck, you were killed by Willis as a dare to any higher power that might exist, but for you, death was just the beginning...
You have risen both from the grave and to the challenge presented to you: protect the innocents of this prison and see to the elimination of all who would harm them.
Win condition:
You win if all "evil" characters are eliminated and if you or any sane prisoners escape, regardless of your own status in the game.
Role Type: Active
Role Ability:
In phase 2 you will return to the game within a randomly selected group. From that point forward, you have only one life to live.
You have one opportunity to even the considerable odds ahead of you... a bomb. It may not seem like the holiest of weapons, but it can get the job done. Unfortunately, this bomb is also lodged inside of you. It cannot be removed from you, nor can it be deactivated.
However, you have control over this weapon. You do not have to use it. If you do, it will permanently remove you and any one player you chose to use it against. This elimination is permanent and cannot be reversed under any circumstances.
This counts as an unstoppable kill.

Phase 6- Room 3787
The door to the room opened up. Everything was green but it was dingy and dark. Natalie stepped into the room looking back at her team. Leos and Frosti were trying to avoid catching one another's gaze. She shook her head and then swallowed nervously. This was her first time leading.
The door shut behind her. The constant background heat had taken it's toll on this room but amazingly it was the first time she'd seen plant life down here. And it wasn't just a little. The room was crawling with vines, dead branches and all manner of other things.
There were artificial UV lights above that just added to the heat and encouraged the growth. They were either side of the all too familiar tunnel on the ceiling which came in from the East and moved out over the only other exit, to the West. She turned back. The door was still closed. Nothing for it but to walk gently forth.
She took a few steps towards the middle, her eyes scouring every inch of the overgrowth for anything...anything she might see. Were those...holes...in the wall...? Very small but maybe there was something inside. If she could just walk over and se-

Below her the tile fell in place and she quickly jerked her foot away. As she did there was a series of swooshing noises ricocheting from either wall. She screamed very loudly.
The door opened and the group hurried in. Natalie was lying in a heap on the floor. Jutting from her neck was a rather large dart. She glanced up whimpering.
Kiwi rushed over and examined the wound. It had pierced the skin but missed her jugular. A small trail of blood was oozing out. Ninefingers rushed over to her other side and the two of them grabbed her hands, hoisting her to her feet carefully.
Natalie walked a couple of steps...and then stumbled once more onto the floor.
"What be you suggesting leader?" Ninefingers questioned in a state of panic.
Frosti walked over and nodded at the dart. "This needs to come out." He said firmly.
Frosti took a hold of the dart and pulled it very gently from the wound. It had gone in quite deep. Natalie winced and whimpered as it came out. There was a hole on her neck that was bleeding but not severely. He ripped off a piece of his sack cloth tunic and padded away at the wound.
"Can you hold it there?" He asked nervously. Natalie nodded but didn't speak.
For a while everybody sat around pondering the situation.
"I think...I think the bleeding stopped..." Natalie said with a smile.
She stood up with the help of Kiwi and Ninefingers once more and said "thank you." Smiling she took another couple of woozy steps but fell to the ground catching herself with her hands. She cried out.
Ninefingers glanced at the rest of the group. "Do ye think you can be moving around with us okay?" He asked her worried.
Natalie smiled and said "with some help I should be able to make it out of here." Her smile faded slightly as her brow sweated profusely.
They all knew one thing for certain. They couldn't wait around for very long. Natalie was helped to her feet once more and was able to walk to the wall where she supported herself, breathing slowly and closing her eyes in deep thought.

Jeff twin updates
According to Jeff other group got all items sucked into a vaccuum
Update: KLAUS has a role like Niney's except he sense traps! He wasn't able to sense the VACCUUM apparently. Also according to twinny the group is growing very suspisious of Helios!
Flavour of other group backpacks
"But you all have those useful tracking tools that you crave. So far all I've heard from you on my monitors is bickering about items and who shall have the items while the smiling fool over there grabs them all willy-nilly."
"Such stupidity. I think it's time to change things a little don't you?"
A few minutes later they were alerted by a whirring sound. The ceiling lit up and glowed a horrible red colour as the pipes descended and whirred into power. Then a tremendous sucking sensation hit them all.
They covered their ears for fear of their eardrums bursting. It was powerful, extremely powerful. It sucked the skin right off their bones. They yelled out in unison but nobody could hear a thing above the racket.
Slowly, one by one, their backpacks were torn from their backs. When all the backpacks had gone completely, the whirring stopped. Everybody was somewhat dazed when the voice returned.
"There. No more need to worry yourselves with that nonsense. Isn't that better?"
The group looked around at one another nervously. Everybody's pack was gone. They had lost all of their items. | |

Phase 7 - Room 6071
The door slid open. Natalie stared into the gloom and took a step forward. She was hobbling slightly as she went. The rest of the group watched nervously. "Luck." Said Ninefingers firmly. Natalie continued onwards into new territory.
This room had a reddish hue and was a complete change of scenery from the room they were just in. The greenery was completely gone. This room was more like a traditional bunker. Scorched and rusted steel covered the walls and the floor. Natalie hobbled along, looking down in fear of a floor panel sinking beneath her feet. Nothing happened. She fell back onto a grid-like metal wall in the centre and collapsed.
The group rushed in after hearing the crash and ran over to her body. She was sweating profusely but still alive. She breathed deeply and looked up. Vision was getting a little...blurry. The group were stood around to help her to her feet but she refused and stay sat down.
MLWW ran his fingers up and down the metal grid in the middle. It came from the Northern wall and moved down towards the middle of the room. It was taller than anybody assembled but there was nothing on it or above it save for the mysterious shaded glass tunnel that seemed to be a constant factor of most rooms. That came in from the East and curved up before departing to the North.
He glanced Southwards and noted that there was a door with a slight difference. It had a padlock and was heavily chained up. He fumbled with it a little but it was hot and he gave up. Then he flipped his head across and noticed the the cases on the Western wall.
Lined up in a row were a very very large number of open metal cases. Most of them were empty but some of them contained....guns? He peered over and lifted one of them up. It was a rifle. He put it on his shoulder and tested the weight.
"Let me take a look." Ninefingers chimed in. As a military man he had some experience with firearms in the past. MLWW held the rifle aloft in the shooting position for a little while longer then shrugged and handed it over to Ninefingers. Ninefingers proceeded to open it and check the ammunition chamber.
"Two rounds of ammo in this one." He said firmly. He placed it gingerly against the wall as the group each went over to the casings and placed their findings in a heap on the floor. Then they noticed the plaque on the wall above the casings. It read:
"Dearest prisoners. Please make full use of my personal armoury. It's a dangerous place and I would hate to see you go into the jaws of Hell unarmed. They are meant for personal protection only of course. Hold them tight. - W"
Natalie's coughing brought everybody's attention away from the guns. A small puddle of blood appeared on the floor as she coughed. They looked back at the pile nervously. It contained no medical supplies whatsoever.

Phase 8- Room 4319
Natalie hobbled over to the door nervously. She was feeling pretty unwell to say the least.
"Wait take the vest..."
Natalie stepped through the door.
"...off" Kiwi trailed out miserably. Too late.
Natalie looked down cautiously for any floor tiles that might give way. She was taking no chances. She stopped momentarily to mop the building sweat from her brow and took a step forward before collapsing onto a podium in the centre of the room. She glared up through very bleary eyes. Was that...another gun?
What was Willis doing...? Rooms full of guns and another gun after that...was that all they came down here to....do....?
She reached out carefully to try and grab hold of it but it was bolted firmly to the podium. The door opened as Frosti and the others came through. Frosti eyed the gun immediately.
"Oh no you don't." Said Kiwi firmly. "No more guns. There was nothing in here to help, let's go back the way we came like we all agreed."
The group peered around into the blackish blue room. It was poorly lit. The only source of real light was the circular podium in the middle which was also blue. It was stone and ascended from the metallic floor. But this room was otherwise featureless. Not even a tunnel system above their heads. It was probably the least interesting room they'd seen so far even counting the backpack one. Ninefingers shuddered at the memory.
"Do you think it would be that easy?" The voice boomed out from above. The assembled glanced up. This room had a screen in the ceiling which was novel. Usually it was the floor. The room shone a bit brighter as the horrible red glare blasted out and the eye glanced down.
"I've been very generous scattering trinkets about for you to happen upon. I even gave out what I promised in the ante-room. But in the labyrinth, in my labyrinth very little is given out for free."
"You won't find very many treasures just waiting to grasp onto and fill your greedy packs with for much longer. If you want something, you have to work for it. It's the only way to test if you truly can handle the rewards. After all, that rather grisly Lord of the Flies moment back in the armoury was somewhat shameful wasn't it?"
Kiwi and Frosti glared at one another coldly.
"It's been a full week since your descent everybody. Feel proud. You've all lasted such a long time and you're all present and correct."
The group stared at one another.
"Save for a few stragglers and bad eggs but you have your health...well mostly."
Natalie breathed heavily as she lay resting against the podium.
"Time to unwind. Let's play a little game shall we. This is one of my favourite games and my predecessor was also a fan. I trust you've all heard of Russian roulette?"
The group looked nervously around.
"The rules are quite simple. One of you takes the gun when I unbolt it from the podium. You place it to your forehead and you pull the trigger. Boom! Or rather not. The gun has six chambers but only one is loaded. That means there's a five in six chance of nothing happening. Good odds!"
"However my predecessor was an idiot. He believed that only one person should take part in the game. There's no team spirit in an attitude like that. You've made it this far together, you play together."
"Six of you must compete. And you can be dropping that bulletproof vest before you even think of using it, I'm no idiot. Six of you brave souls line yourselves up and each take a shot so to speak. One of the six will sadly blow their brains out but it's all in good fun."
"Of course there's not very much incentive to do that so I'd like to announce there's a prize at stake. One of the brave who partakes in this challenge will receive an extremely rare item. Mystical even. It comes from Olympus and was crafted by the Greek gods themselves...or so the story goes. Either way I have it in my possession."
"It won't be fair to say you'll need this particular treasure to escape but it will certainly help you out vastly and will have a plethora of uses that should become apparent. What's more, it's the only one of it's kind in the entire labyrinth. You won't find this anywhere else. I have the only one."
"So what say you? Are you prepared to take the ultimate gamble? If five of you don't fire off the last one will obviously have no need to. The game is all about the bang after all. Stand forward if you want to play. Run for the hills if you have no backbone."
The voice faded but the eye continued to watch.
You can opt to play Russian Roulette. Six people must opt in using ##Play: RR. The rules will be posted if six players agree.

Phase 9-6071
Jeffrey shook his head at Frosti's rambling.
"Oh men drama." He announced to the group.
Then he slid opened the door and headed back into the armoury. The rest of the group followed him one by one. Frosti walked over to the body of Roy carefully. His face was a little bloody where he'd just now bashed it into the wall. He knealt down and moved the makeshift covering very gently.
He moved his hand and closed Roy's eyes before placing the covering back over him.
"Rest in piece Johnny." He said shutting his eyes. He stood up and glanced at the ceiling where the eye had appeared.
"I know you can see me butcher. I'm coming...I'm gonna get you real good."
He picked up a rogue metal piece of the backpack that had been torn and flung it up at the ceiling. It bounced off harmlessly.
"For Roy and brother Bear!" He declared to the world at large. Donovan stood by the exit, arms crossed.
"I'm sure he's terrified!" Said Donovan coldly. Frosti glared up at the man as he stormed over. Donovan assumed a defensive position as Frosti yelled and grabbed him full bodily. He then dragged the resisting Donovan into the armoury and flung him on the floor. Donovan's body clattered against the grating in the middle of the room. Natalie jumped back very slightly as the figure almost sent her toppling.
"TALK!" Frosti demanded. Donovan rolled onto his back and looked up, hands held high.
"GIVE US OUR ITEM YOU BASTARD!" He screamed out in a fit of rage. Kiwi watched very carefully as did the other assembled group. This was nerve-wracking. Donovan just blankly stared without speaking or blinking.
In the corner of the room Leos found a small metal bench and lay down for a nap. It was below the now empty gun cases. He noticed that on the wall just across from him somebody had chalked "BRB" in large letters.
"okay see you soon." Said Leos as he closed his eyes.
The rest of the group watched in silence as the showdown continued centre-stage.
High above the labyrinth, behind a series of large screens, a hooded figure watched intently.

Phase 10- 2346
"DAMNIT!" Frosti declared punching the floor.
Jeffrey looked sideways at Ninefingers. Was this going to happen before they moved every time?
"None of you are leaving. You will all come North! Nobody gets away. This is not resolved and I am the leader of this group so do as I say okay?!" Frosti spoke nervously.
"Hark!" He shouted, pointing as a figure crept past. It was MLWW.
"I'm going first." He said bluntly.
Frosti lowered his head dejectedly. "Go ahead but I am WATCHING YOU ALL!" He shouted out. MLWW brushed past as Frosti snarled.
The door slid and MLWW entered into new territory...if you could call it that. He was having deja vu. It was probably the vommit coloured walls and the horrible yellowish hue that they'd encountered not too long ago. He looked up and there was another part of the tunnel system on the ceiling. It carried on due Northwards, coming in from the South.
"Guys...I think we've been here before...maybe..." He was puzzled. It was all very familiar.
Walter shook his head. "Bit different." he said firmly.
Frosti stood behind as the group members all milled through, including Donovan. Only Robert was stood at the back staring into the door.
"Well Robert, coming?" Frosti said angrily. Robert smiled and nodded. He walked calmly past Frosti.
The King stepped into the next room carefully. It was indeed very familiar. It was just a pity there was nothing new to do or see but they had some more investigating to do anyway he...
Everybody at once fell back as the gust hit them. Like a whirlwhind, something moved across the room to the North. They weren't sure what it was, but it was a blur. It moved so fast...what the hell? The King looked around at everybody nervously.
"OKAY WHAT WAS THAT THING?" He yelled out.
The doors to the room slammed shut. At least whatever it was had gone now.
"Cerberus?" Walter asked baffled.
"Any takers?" Frosti said bitterly. "Natalie, Donovan."
"Nope." Said Donovan smiling. At least he hadn't tried to escape.
"Robert?" Said Frosti spinning.
He looked around the room for a little while puzzled.
"Robert???" He said once more. "ANSWER ME MAN."
Iron Face's once deadpan expression dropped as he looked frantically around. The rest of the group looked too. There was nowhere to hide in here was there? There were no crevices, passageways or anything that could conceal a person. He looked up at the tunnels, the South door and the North door again.
"Did he even come through this way?" Said Rose curiously.
Frosti's eyes twitched as he dropped his pack on the floor.
"YAARRRRRRRRHGHHAHAHHFHHFHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHJHAHHAHAHA" He screamed out, punching and kicking a nearby wall over and over. Iron Face dropped to the floor head shaking. Ninefingers put a friendly hand on his shoulder. The rest of the group looked very nervous.
"Let's keep moving." Said AlexORG calmly. "No point in not."

Phase 11- 4105
Frosti stared back at his group feeling very down. "So long comrades."
"Yup." Said Kiwi flatly.
"Bon voyage hombres." Said Frosti.
The others continued to stare.
"Fare the well my peers. Safe journey my bretheren. See you on the other side my associates. My loyal subjects. My buddies, my travelling companions, my beaus, my.."
Kiwi stood up and pushed Frosti into the open doorway. Frosti yelled out angrily as the door slammed behind him. He was angry but the cold snap hit him first. He didn't like this...cold...what was that Leos was rambling about coldness? Frosti stepped forwards some more...
Why was it cold? This was hell. Hell was warm not cold. They'd never been cold since coming down here. What was wrong with this place. He stepped forwards anxiously. His eyes were firmly shut. If he was going to be gored alive by some monster he didn't want to see it. He would rather-

Frosti's immediate reaction was to dash back to the door where he stood in the doorway panting. The door opened. He jumped back again. The group were stood around watching.
"All safe?" Walter asked curiously. MLWW walked past and followed Frosti's footprints in the frosty floor. It led to a panel that clicked down with a-"
*click*
But nothing happened. He looked up at the ceiling. The tunnel above came in from the South and headed off West. Icicles were forming underneath it. The walls were covered in some kind of frozen inactive fans. He shivered a little bit.
"Look!" Kiwi yelled. The collective heads followed to his pointed finger...where a figure was lying face down on the floor. The figure was very very white and blue. Walter walked over and nudged it with his foot.
"He dead." Walter said scientifically.
Rose walked over and brushed her hand over the figure's back where the black writing was.
"DON'T! HE MIGHT BE THE ZOMBIE CURTIS!" Frosti screamed out. Rose looked back briefly and carried on dusting. Frosti immediately leaped behind Jeff.
AlexORG walked over and peered down. The name on the back said "Robert". He and Rose took one side of the body each and flipped it over. It was ice cold. Robert's face glared up at the ceiling. His skin was white and frosty. His eyes were staring dead on. Iron Face shook his head dejectedly.
Ninefingers sniffed the air and walked over to the late Robert's pack. He fumbled through it, nodded and flipped the contents on the floor.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here be our treasure and the missing stuff."
A small key clanked down onto the cold floor. Next to it was a pristine looking silvery cape. It shimmered in the light of the room. An image of Pegasus was stitched on the back. The cold didn't appear to affect it's quality at all.
They eyed up possible exit points. Back South, West, or a chained and padlocked door to the East.

Notes
Robert dropped a key and a pegasis cape that he was hiding from us.
Pegasus Cape: A mythical cape of legend said to have been made by the gods of Mount Olympus themselves. On wearing the cape, you will gain a rush of speed. This allows you to exit multiple rooms in a phase.
With the cape in your inventory, if you wish you can submit two exit commands instead of one. The second exit must be in the format ##Exit2: Direction. The following phase, you will not only enter a room through your first chosen exit, you will then exit through your second selected exit in that room, essentially allowing you to skip past that room entirely.
This will fail if a trap, device or entity in the first entered room would otherwise harm you on entry. In which case you will take the effects of that trap, device or entity. If the first entered room does not have an accessible exit in the "Exit2" direction you chose, you will automatically move through the next available clockwise exit that isn't the one you came through. If the door you came through is the only available exit in the first room, you will remain in that room.

You can opt to play fight to the death. Two players must post ##Battle to play. This must be submitted by the 10th hour of the phase or it will not count and the game will not commence.
"Of course there will be a prize for the lucky winner. The tunnels up above...have you ever noticed them and wondered what they were for? I built them with my own two hands. They're a transportation system. Quite a wonderful design. They extend the full breadth of the maze. And one hop into a shuttle will take you hurtling across to the other side."
"The trouble is, you have to know where to find the shuttles. And even when you find the boarding platforms there's the little issue of the shuttles not being instantly accessible. I choose when to activate them. The instructions for activation are contained in a little document I have with me here. It also contains a list of all the platform rooms, and which corresponding room the track connects to."
"Quite a find you must agree. Of course the winner will also be holding onto a fine pair of luxury hand crafted Tonfa. They were made by a monk in ancient China and are a fine weapon of self-defence. In this place with what may yet come...you may find them invaluable. They won't kill a man but they'll do a good job of rendering him incapacitated."
"I'll throw in a key as a bonus. One of the ones needed to open the various locked doors scattered around the labyrinth. There are precisely as many keys as locks so you may find you need it." |
|
Helios grinned as his opponent stumbled against the chain. The platform rocked and Randolph tumbled a little. Helios stood stock still. They made eye contact firmly as Helios took a step back and turned around. He smiled, flicking his head to look at Randolph who gripped the weapon firmly.
Then Helios charged in from below. It completely took him off guard when Randolph leapt to the side and smacked Helios across the back of the head from above. Helios yelled out in pain. Randolph rocked back, bleeding a fair bit. His opponent was equally as bruised. The two figures looked at one another.
"It seems we are evenly matched." Said Helios firmly.
"Yes, it does." Said Randolph equally as firm.
A voice boomed out from above.
"YOU ARE BOTH ABOUT EQUALLY MATCHED IN COMBAT SO WE ARE NOW MOVING INTO SUDDEN DEATH MODE."
The lava below erupted and tickled the bottom of the platform causing it to shake in all directions. Both warriors could barely stand.
"NOW THE PLATFORM IS SO UNSTEADY THAT THE FIRST PERSON TO STRIKE WILL WIN THE WHOLE ROUND. ATTACK NOW!"
This is sudden death mode. Since you both drew equally in your moves, sudden death will begin. The first person to post ##Strike will win the match.
The two figures charged towards one another on the unstable platform. |
Helios struck first and won.

Phase 12- 1221
King Frostilicious looked at the now unlocked door and then at the icy figure of what used to be Robert. He shivered, not just because of the sheer force of cold. And he stepped forth.
Warmth again...too much though. Back to the normal horrible humidity of the place. And this room was pretty...digusting. It was lit with a horrible green hue and there were work surfaces with a load of notes. Frosti walked over nervously and coughed.
The others came in to see him laying on the floor, coughing repeatedly. The air was thick in here...there was a horrible disgusting green gas about the place. But it didn't seem that dangerous...
Walter started coughing next. Pretty soon everybody was choking up on the vile mixture that swam through the air. Alex held his breath and shook his head, going over to the table with the notes on. He skimmed through them carefully. Most of the details had been destroyed. What he could see...he read out loud.
"Phase 4: 5 new ones show promise...will keep a close eye on them....."
The group managed to adjust their breathing to cope with the noxious air somewhat as they all walked behind Alex who was reading carefully.
"The 5 are v. def. candidates project harrow..."
Alex looked nervous as he flipped over to the other side.
"Phase 7: Group F find gun cache...not long before it starts...when it does the chaos will ensue. Ensured all are full armed for the calling...just 8 more phases to go...?"
Alex flipped through more papers as MLWW ran his hands along a workbench. There were three vials containing a potion. One was yellow, one was blue, one was red. Next to them on a table was a dart. he went down to touch it as Rose shook her head.
"I wouldn't."
Natalie nodded sadly.
Rose walked over and picked up a sheet next to the dart. "Toxin formula perfected. 72 hour effect confirmed. Much better than MOS formula which v. ineffective."
She walked over to another binder that had the heading "Dr. Patterson."
Curiously she flipped it open. There was nothing inside. All the contents had been removed.
Alex continued reading out notes.
"One of them transforms. Curious. Would v. much like to witness after-effects of that."
Kiwi clenched his fists nervously.
Ninefingers shook his head.
"We be just rats in a maze."
AlexORG flipped down to another page.
"Won't make it beyond Charon in my eyes..." the rest was crossed through.
He flipped over once more.
"Effects of Inferno monitor day 57. Subject is now feral. Wants little more than to kill and maim..."
"Went down to Chamber D this morn. Watched souls bask in cavelight. One tried to consume body but hard to possess the dead..."
None of the other notes were readable.
Alex flipped back to the terrified expressions behind him.
"As always, we just have to keep moving."

ok here's what I have so far
map:
apparently 8613 is only locked from the EAST door. Also they found another shuttle platform thing. 8613 was a MAGNET that sucked up all the metal things they had with them including their key and the only way to get them back is to turn off the magnet. They haven't yet because Willis warned that doing so will be DANGEROUS
Also I asked him about HOT POTATO and all he said was they won explosives. I asked him to clarify but he hasnt respoinded yet
also Helios said he's "not allowed to tell them" what's in the shuttle documents :| Sounds like sum ROBERT
Also they found Randolph's body in 8613, I guess the lava current took him there! |
Then something caught Klaus' eyes. Horribly scorched remains. They had washed up on the side of the flaming lake. There was no mistaking who that was...poor Randolph.... |

Phase 13- 2809
|
Frosti opened the door again. He was getting quite used to this. It wasn't so bad risking your life all the time. After all they were in hell, being chased by a demon dog, watched by a giant eye and in under 72 hours everybody was going to start world war III or some crap so simply opening a door didn't seem like the worst thing in the world.
Except for the whole being crushed/mauled/frozen to death. An afterimage of Robert's icy carcass burned into Frosti's retina as he shivered in the hellish heat. The fumes were getting too much. He opened the door and took a brave step forward. The door slammed shut behind him.
The room was pitch black. Frosti swallowed nervously as he took a step forward. No clicks yet but some light would be nice.
"Open the door guys! I can't see for-"
As he spoke he heard a growl in the shadows. He leapt back into the door frame and pulled his pistol out instinctively.
"If that's you Jeff it's not funny!" He shouted out.
Then the room lit up slowly. The source of the light were two hooded figures holding a deadly looking axe. Their faces were not visible. They were glowing brightly. One was red, the other was blue.
"SPEAK NOW MORTAL."
The door to the science lab opened from the North as Frosti hobbled in nervously. "Let's not go that way..." he said. His face was white as a sheet.
"This is ridiculous, the doors are going to lockdown in about a minute." Said Alex angrily.
"How about you guys charge into these rooms once, risking all of your only lives like a brave hero? I am just one very weak unarmed man, it's ridiculous that..."
Walter grabbed Frosti and pushed him into the room, following him silently. The others piled in afterwards.
"You go first." Said Walter firmly. Frosti snarled and looked back at where the two figures were. They were gone. He glared around the room puzzled. It was well lit this time. What...had he just imagine...
The room went black again as everybody got into a defensive position. The two hooded figures appeared once more, lighting up the room.
"SPEAK NOW MORTALS." The red figure boomed out.
Collective eyes were drawn to the rather large axes. The two figures were stood in front of the Eastern door menacingly. There was no sign of a face or any vaguely human features.
"Did you ever hear the one about the two guards in front of heaven and hell?"
Frosti jumped back behind the towering figure of Walter as the voice boomed out and the room was lit red from the glowing eyeball on the floor. The hooded figures didn't move an inch.
"Don't let these two scare you. They are guards but they're merely around for...informational purposes. Legend has it that one did once guard the door to heaven and the other to hell. As with all legends the facts are slightly skewed but they are here nonetheless."
"The interesting thing about these two is the quirk that made the riddle so compelling. Indeed, one always lies and the other always tells the truth. Which is which? That's the question you should be asking."
"The other interesting thing is they are not much for talking. Other than SPEAK NOW MORTALS the only thing I have ever heard the two of these mutter is YES and NO. They don't go in for cryptic answers and saying anything that doesn't have a clear result will throw them into a spin. I've never seen them lift those big axes but I wouldn't frankly like to try and baffle them with difficult questions."
"Go ahead, ask. It's a wealth of information. But they will only ever speak to a soul and answer his questioning once. So don't waste your precious time here."
The voice disappeared. Everybody stared at the two guards now solely lighting the room.
"SPEAK NOW MORTALS." The blue guard boomed out.
Up above, just visible in the dim light, another shaded glass tunnel passed over the room. It came in from the East and headed out to the West.
You may ask the blue or red guard any question of your choice. They only respond with yes or no answers. If the question cannot be conclusively answered in this way their eyes will glow and you may ask a different question. You may each only ask ONE question to ONE guard for the entire duration of the game. One of them always lies, one of them always tells the truth. Think carefully before you ask. Format your official questions with ##Ask followed by the colour of the guard (eg. ##Ask red or ##Ask blue.)

Phase 15-7355
|
King Frostilicious glanced over at the stricken body of Rose thoughtfully. Flies were buzzing around it unceremoniously. Such a sad waste but it was good finally having the only evil vanquished. He sighed. It made him slightly more comfortable about the moving first thing. Still as he edged closer to the door and eyed up the guards carefully, he felt wary.
He hit the release and stepped forth. The room beyond was bright red. Stunningly so. He'd never seen a redder room. It was also uncomfortably warm. He brushed his hand across his face as his forehead dripped. Then he jumped back at the strange mechanical noise. Minotaur?
Up above were two tunnels like the many they had encountered previously. One was heading from East to West, the other crossed it from North to South. These lay above a strange trapdoor that was now releasing a staircase.
The sound stirred the followers who opened the door and peered in as the stairwell came to a complete stop firmly on the floor. Then a voice boomed out. Not Willis. It was very strange.
"KING FROSTILICIOUS. YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED TO THE RED ROOM. PLEASE ASCEND THE STAIRCASE AND WAIT PATIENTLY."
Frosti whimpered. He didn't want to go to any red rooms. He liked living. Living was fun. Dying was not. But he didn't want a giant turret to smash down and blast him to death either. He stood upright and bravely clambered up the first few steps before dashing to the strange dark chamber at the top.
It was completely empty. No hatches...no latches...no signs of anything at all. How stupid.
"He forgot to put a do-" he began to shout out as the mechanism fired up once more. The stairs rose and slammed shut, completely trapping the king inside away from everybody's view.
The rest of the group tried not to make eye contact. This was uncomfortable.

The wailing gradually got louder and louder. The room filled with a strange blue haze that poured in from the doors. A hissing and spitting sound could be heard followed by a low rumble. It was like a volcano...erupting....
The rumbling increased and the room shook up and down causing everybody to stumble into the blue haze. Vision became impossible...screaming and wailing noises drowned out all conversation.
The rumbling was still ongoing as the room shaking reached it's most ferocious. Strange blue wispy shapes appeared and darted around in every direction. Embers of fire shot through cracks in the ground. The entire room was filled with a horrible orchestra that came alongside the blue mist.
Walter growled at a wispy shape that attempted to circle him. His expression went stone cold when it dived up and entered...into his own head.
After that the world went black for a while...
