Wikey marched North as the followers stared at one another awkwardly. Had the funny little mime just become de facto leader. He pushed the door release, smiled and shook his finger as he walked in.
Standing ahead were the looming hoods of two figures. One was bright red, the other was bright blue. They were each armed with the most lethal looking of axes and not much else. They continued to motionlessly stare on as the rest of the group milled in.
"SPEAK NOW MORTALS."
"You have all heard of these guards by now yes?" The eyeball called out from above. "They are here for...informational purposes. Legend has it that one once guarded the door to heaven and the other to hell. As with all legends the facts are slightly skewed but they are here nonetheless."
"The interesting thing about these two is the quirk that made the riddle so compelling. Indeed, one always lies and the other always tells the truth. Which is which? That's the question you should be asking."
"The other interesting thing is they are not much for talking. Other than SPEAK NOW MORTALS the only thing I have ever heard the two of these mutter is YES and NO. They don't go in for cryptic answers and saying anything that doesn't have a clear result will throw them into a spin. I've never seen them lift those big axes but I wouldn't frankly like to try and baffle them with difficult questions."
"Go ahead, ask. It's a wealth of information. But they will only ever speak to a soul and answer his questioning once. So don't waste your precious time here."
The eye disappeared and the figures glowed again.
"SPEAK NOW MORTAL."
Malarkey nodded. It was time to speak he supposed. But he couldn't escape the unpleasant smell of something. Happy wandered over to the corpse and smiled down at it. The corpse didn't smile back.
Drr's body was heaped in the corner, staring horribly forwards. Her stomach had been stabbed through. Dry blood covered the floor everywhere. Not far from her body on the wall, a message was scrawled out in chalk.
"Frosti is a liar and a tyrant
Kiwi is the devil
Walter White awful
...
G Is Also AnnoyinG
...
Natalie bandwagons.
The others are okay
(the Iron Face)
Alex is fine,
Ninefingers is good
But none of them will get any chalk.
-Sincerely,
the Sign Painter
(and Messiah)"
Bagshot followed the chalk over to the opposite end of the room where the message was much simpler. It read "RIP Zombie Rose".
Overhead, a tunnel moved from East to West.

Actually I'm gonna say the other group didn't see that message since they were puzzled at how there were only 200 or so characters left on the chalk.

Also there's no note of a tunnel in this room even though there's supposed to be.

Damn, I've been out all day. What did I miss? Also, we should ask them again to reaffirm who tells the truth and who lies. I recommend asking "Would the other statue say that you are lying?", and the one that answers yes is telling the truth and the one that answers no is lying. | Back from the dead. Survival/Rebirth is the key. |

but lying about what? they haven't said anything yet.
The colour one works just as well, I assume we have a limit on questions... but I won't ask.

Okay here's a list that we definitely should ask:
Are you red
Is the Labyrinth's exit key more North than South
Is the Labyrinth's exit key more East than West
Can every member of this group escape together
Then maybe one about Frosti or Kiwi or Walter

If everyone besides those who have been inactive and Wikey can ask, then we have 11 questions.

Or better, we can ask them "What would the other statue say if I asked it [insert question]?"
That way, If we ask the one telling the truth, he would say what the lie was, and the one lying would say what the truth is not, the lie. The correct answer would thus be the opposite of the answer given from both. This way we confirm our answers every time, no matter what shenanigans Willis pulls, and we don't waste any questions. | Back from the dead. Survival/Rebirth is the key. |
