OPENING STATEMENT

Posted Image

Hello everyone, before I get on with my Opening Statement I would like to thank Ted, Ghandia and Amanda for hosting this great game, and to every single member of the cast because without them, their mistakes and what they did I wouldn’t have been here. A game is only as good as the host and the cast, and I believe the cast we had here was solid.

Anyways, I will not make this super long to read as I am well-aware that no one wants to read a novel. Also, I know that if you want to know something you can ask me during the Q&A. Which, speaking of, I hope that despite your personal opinions of me as a person you will give me a fair shot at your vote, like I would for any of you if you were in my position.

Anyways, on to my game… Coming into this game I chose to play because I needed something to do during the summer, I heard great things about the series and I wanted to have fun. I never expected that I would make it to the merge, let alone the Final 2. I came into the game guns blazing, creating a character which I thought would be hilarious: I was vulgar, controversial, blunt and had a take-no-prisoners attitude. In one-on-one conversations I was a slightly more watered down version of the Katie from the boards and far more relatable.

Throughout this game I did get into a lot of fights and arguments, but I hope everyone realizes that none of them were personal, nor did I ever attack anyone on anything outside of game-things. My fights were always game related, and even when people attacked me on more personal things I kept it game-centered as I don’t find a need to attack people on their personal life.

Anyways, this whole game I was myself. You all knew where I stood since day one, I never made it a secret who my friends were, who I had an alliance with, or who I disliked, and yet people allowed me to get my way multiple times. I found two idols, and I kept it a secret until it was no longer necessary for me to do so. The two idols ended not really mattering because I had set myself up in such a great position, but had things went differently they could have changed the whole game and helped me get close to the end.

Every round [besides the Sarah and Erinn vote] I knew what was going on and I had a say on how things would go down. I don’t want to say I fully controlled the game, because that would be selfish and ridiculous, my alliance worked as a whole, but I always had a voice on what would happen and it was important what I had to say.

Now, I am aware that I was a lot less active by the end of the game. I started school and my job by then so I couldn’t spend as much time as I did before, or as much as I would have wanted playing. However, by then I had already set myself to be in such a good position that whether I was around or not didn’t matter, I had made sure that I would be here, or very close to here.

I came here, I played hard, I fought with people, made some good friends, and now I am ready to hear your criticism and answer your questions. Good luck to all of you in your decision, and to Kim too! May the best player win.
