So I've listened to this one before, and I remember really liking it. Some of the standout songs I remember are Camping Next to Water, Disillusion, Pissing in the Wind and Once Around the Block. Looking forward to listening again

2. Every song sounds a like. I had no idea track 2 started because it sounded like track 1 kept going.

eh, this is a forgettable album to me. I'll try to give it another listen to before voting but probably not.

Would be nice if we would vote a different genre. There's no difference in these selections.

I remember disliking the preview song for this album, so if all the rest are the same, then yeah, I probably won't give it a listen.

well that review doesn't have me feeling hopeful about listening to the hour plus album now. :P I did vote for it, because of the sample song. And I didn't want to listen to the 90s albums that I've heard before.

It's actually not bad to listen to in the background of playing Mafia or whatever. :P

All jokes aside, you'll like this album.

but yes, when you do that however, they all do sound the same.

I've made it all the way to song #7 so far.

Perhaps I was catering to the crowd a bit in nominating this album. It's not the kind of thing I'd usually listen to....generally anything post 2000s is not something I'd listen to, because I'm a 'le wrong generation' boomer nerd who thinks rock music and tbh music in general is in a sorry state these days. All that aside...I thought this had something. Not much, but something. I'll see if my opinion changes on a second listen.

The only reason I came across it is because some guy who played bass for me briefly said my songs sounded similar. He thought he was a big influence on me and was surprised when I said I hadn't heard of him. Honestly I don't know what the fuck he was talking about because my songs sound nothing like this. (btw my music sucks and I'm not linking you guys to it)

Anyway, I do agree that similar stuff keeps getting nominated, and that a lot of people participating don't really get a look in, and there's no chance of them doing so with the way we currently run this.

I have an idea to remedy this. I propose we scrap the free for all nominations we currently have, and instead assign one person per month to take a turn. Perhaps they can nominate several albums and everyone can vote for their fav from there. This way everyone will get a turn, and we can guarantee that the music will be more varied.

Like this post if you agree with this proposed change, dislike if not.

I don't currently have any motivation to carry on with song #8 and the rest right now.
