Hey help me
Roommate and I might get rid of cable. We also currently use his Xbox for Netflix/Hulu/HBO but the setup isn’t great for it in our new place since our tv is mounted now so he’s keeping his xbox in his room. That means those options go away in the living room
Does anyone fuck with ROKU or Amazon’s Fire Stick thing or anything like that? I know nothing about that stuff. I have a chrome cast which helps with Netflix and such but we’re definitely gonna want football games and such on the living room tv. I know there’s all kinds of package deals out there now. What’s a good option?

I think Youtbuetv and PSVue are the options for football. |

Roku works fine for me. Stupid easy to use, and pretty universal.

I had a Roku for years before I started using the PS4 (and got a smart TV) for streaming. Mr. C uses it now. It works really well and has all the services we use. And it's super portable and you can take it with you whenever you want streaming on the go, such as when you're stuck at a hotel or something.
I... don't think there really is a good place to watch football and would actually like to know the same thing as we just cancelled DirecTV and now are trying to figure out a good way to watch. Fucking DirecTV seems to have a chokehold on the NFL as it's seemingly the only major sport without a streaming app that you can subscribe to where you can just watch anything ala MLB and NBA. Yahoo Sports streams games, but it's limited. And I heard Verizon has a deal where you can watch games on the NFL app if you have Verizon, however it's mobile only and I don't have nor want Verizon. |

DirectTV is the only place to get the NFL package but there are 4 different sub you can get the NFL network and Redzone. PSVue and YouTubeTV are the 2 I'm looking for when I cancel cable at the end of the year. Been hoping Hulu finally gets a deal done with the NFL since I'll have Disney+ |

Looked into a bit and from the looks of it, DirecTV has the NFL on exclusive contract until 2021. God damn that sucks. |

appletv is alright
i mean, chromecast with a computer is going to basically do everything you need it to without paying extra for roku. If you have a desktop pc just use an hdmi cord | SFWordsmith.com

That's how I used to do it to watch D2 football. (Laptop to TV via hdmi) Seems to freeze less, etc via roku though.

yeah I'd definitely go with YouTube TV for that kinda thing and Chromecast that. Or get a Roku if you really wanna use a remote
also, if you're pretty much just gonna be using it for sports, FuboTV is cheaper than YouTube TV but mostly limits you to sports options
(or skip all that and go to reddit.com/r/nflstreams and chromecast the tab 4 free :zebra: )
