And then spend another 20 minutes giving Missandei and Grey Worm another awkward sex scene.

same tbh. I feel like ep 3 will be the battle at Winterfell, ep 4 will be the fallout/more setup, ep 5 THE final battle, and then ep 6 resolution
I mean I'm fine with more setup/character-building if it's done well but if it's anything like last week's... (: More Sam scene quality, less of everything else plz. At least the Olly guy is done writing for the season

I thought this episode was legitimately good. Watched the leak earlier.

Man Theon is a great character. I’ll be rly sad if/when he inevitably sacrifices himself next week. Hope he gets a happy ending
Last week was a p forced way to just shove Theon and Bronn towards Winterfell. I hope they both make it out. And Jorah and Tormund and Davos

Really wanted to hate the ep since it was a lot more exposition and a lot of predictable fan theory/feel good moments, but it still hit me in the feels. Jaime knighting Brienne was great, and Jon telling Daeny he's Aegon Targaryen is an awesome set-up and makes me think they both survive the battle. Curious to see how many people die next week, think it'll be a lot. And probably 1 of all the obvious pairs.
Needs more Varys tho. | |

yeah pretty solid ep tbh, kinda just what I wanted with them taking some time to BREATHE before the non-stop action starts up. And considering the sheer number of characters to juggle I thought almost all of them were given their due pretty well
I think Tyrion/Jaime was my fav character-to-character interaction. And the cool kids club scenes by the fire were pretty good
I still don't get why people aren't trying to pry more information from Bran than he's given. I wish they wouldn't have cut away from Tyrion's sit-down with him

I still get the feeling that Jon/Dany will just resolve their differences and he'll let her have the throne or whatever but we'll see
I was ready for her to cut his throat in the crypt

Also I loved that they gave Lyanna and Jorah a scene together

I hope the Tyrion/Bran scene comes back later, with Tyrion pulling info out of nowhere. Would also be 100% fine with Bran dying

I got the EXACT opposite impression from that scene.
Jon told her the truth about himself.
Daeny, while she loves Jon and must know he loves her too didn't even give him a chance to say that he doesn't want the throne (we know Jon doesn't care about the throne)
Jon sees the rage in Daeny's eyes on hearing that Jon's presence puts her dream and her single minded driving force in jeopardy. And before Jon can say anything to make her feel better, the battle against the dead starts.
I think that will end up being their last scene together (or at least I hope it is) and Jon sacrifices himself while trying to kill the Night King so that Daeny doesn't have to worry about him wanting her throne. It would fit both Jon and Daeny's characters on the show really well if it played out that way. Plus Jon is a textbook martyr. And all he would want is a good death. He's already died once out of betrayal. This time he'll die for love and duty.
