Might be my favorite of the three? They're all so similar in a good way, I find them really hard to rank
The opening sequence(s) has gotta be one of the best starts to an action movie ever. The library fight/book kill, the knife/axe fight in the antique shop, the stable fight with the bucking horses, then the horse/motorcycle fight back to back to back to back. So good. That antique fight is probably my second favorite scene in the series after the club scene in the first
The choreography was ridiculous and the editing was perfect. I love the lack of cuts to show off how perfectly done the fights are. The director was Keanu's stunt double for The Matrix which is p cool, his experience clearly shows. Hands down some of the best fight choreography I've seen. And I love how Keanu did almost all of it himself, you can see that it's him in most shots and it really adds to everything. Some of the kills were so perfectly brutal, I had audible reactions to a ton of them
Bald badie was good. Halle was good and the two dogs were great. Also loved my boy Lance Reddick the concierge getting in on the action
just saw it (never saw Chapter 2 but I doubt that mattered much)
I felt rly similarly about this as I did for the first one. Some really INSPIRED action choreography but other than some standout sequences it didn't do that much for me. In the first one it was the club scene, in this one it was the library and museum(?) fights. Those two fights were rly early in the movie and I was loving it, but after Halle Berry's character gets introduced I felt like it steadily went downhill from there. By the time the motorcycle chase happened it was just feeling repetitive/boring
