They walked to their room. Jiggling the door they realized it was locked. Confused they turned around in the dark hallway looking for help. In the dark they could see a rifle. It raised.
They pushed hard against their door and it managed to break in. They slammed it shut just as the gun shot filled the hallway.

Bored in his room and not wanting to sleep, he pulled out a deck of cards. Solitaire he decided.
Figuring sleep was a gamble of life and death, so he decided to track down some other mutants.
Sneaking through the hallways he tried to see if any doors were open. Most were locked. He found one open and empty. He knew who this belonged to and they were not present. Were they out committing a crime?
He decided to go look for them. But before he could close the door to the person's room, a knife appeared in his chest. He was stabbed from behind. His eyes, already red, went black.

He is also incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a bō staff. Gambit is known to charge playing cards and other objects with kinetic energy, using them as explosive projectiles. Often portrayed as a "ladies' man," Gambit has shown a more vulnerable side of himself over the years, especially when it comes to Rogue. She looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't think perfection. Perfection she knew.
What a bad bad girl you've been she told herself. Up to her old ways again. Being an X-Men had it's glory but there was something sinister inside crawling to the surface. Was being a villain her true calling?
There was a knock on her door.
"Oh Darling I didn't expect any company." she said knowing who was there.
The door burst open and she turned into diamond for defense. A battle ensued and in the end she was shattered across the floor.
