After a very successful first day, the mutants were banished to their individual rooms to await the next morning. Going to bed would be hard knowing there were killers on the loose. To top things off Arcade sadistically kept them alone at night. Begrudgingly the mutants tried to sleep.

But one mutant just couldn't stop his mind from racing.

He sat up in bed with a cold sweat. Tumbling out of bed and laying on the floor, he could not help but feel a panic from inside him. The room was dark and still. But he did not feel alone.

"Who is there? I can feel your presence."

He could hear disturbing thoughts. Thoughts of murder. He could see visions of his own blood pouring onto the group. Would someone do this to him? Why was someone thinking it?

Closing his eyes, he could hear a heartbeat. But it wasn't his own. The heartbeat was coming from a dark corner of the room. His eyes jolted open when he realized who it was.

"No-"

He could barely get out a scream before his throat was slashed. His head plopped off his body and rolled across the room, knocking into another object that began to roll as a result. It was a wheelchair.

He wasn't going to sleep. Not a chance. He stood guard by his door, anticipating an enemy attack. The future from where he came was nothing like the present. It was worse. He can handle this century. He felt confident.

Equipped with a gun, he waited as if he knew someone was coming.

There was a knock on his door.

The knock sent him into action, raising his gun and blasting the door down. He jumped out into the hallway gun already reloaded. Nobody was there. Confused he turned back towards his room when his eye met the hole of a gun barrel. A shot was fired.

In agony he clutched his bloody eye and looked up at his assailant. The gun from his attacker was raised again. This time at his other eye.

He fell to the floor dead.
