Exactly four years have passed since the disease known as FEbola swept over Further Entertainment and claimed the lives of most of its posters. In those four years the disease has been eradicated. The site has healed. New members have come and gone. All is well.

Until today.

It's a day like any other. You wake up, open your computer, and log onto FE as you do every single day. You scroll past another dumb Ahoda post, FEllestrations whining, another Drr grandmother story, a song that Zersch last listened to. Everything is as it should be.

What you don't know is that underneath it all, a new infection is beginning to spread. Faster and deadlier than FEbola, this new disease will slowly but surely take over Further Entertainment, one poster at a time. Will you survive the epidemic and become the last FE member standing? Or will you fall prey to the horrible disease known only as....
























This is a small, lighthearted, impromptu game that I made only because the name popped into my head. It's loosely based on a Humans vs. Zombies game my college campus played, very fun. And it's a sequel to a game I did here like four years ago, it was goofy fun. Anyone can play and it takes virtually no effort at all. There's no player limit and no real sign ups. If you post in this thread, you're automatically playing. It's so easy, if you're on FE regularly there's no reason not to play. PLAY PLEASE!


HOW IT WORKS

The goal of the game is very simple, you must be the last person standing. There are two types of players:

SURVIVORS


Most players will start as a Survivor. After you post in this thread to sign up, you must take the above image and edit it into your member title to show everyone that you're playing. You MUST do this if you're playing, and it has to stay in your member title while the game goes on. As a Survivor, you'll be going about your normal posting routine on the forum. BUT BEWARE! Because your goal is to avoid falling prey to...

INFECTED


The Infected. These players have unfortunately contracted the Staff InFEction and are highly contagious. When the game begins, one Survivor will be randomly and secretly chosen to be Patient Zero. The disease will start with them, and they can't tell anyone that they're patient zero. It's their job to begin to spread Staff InFEction around the forum.

GAMEPLAY

As the game begins, Patient Zero has 24 hours to infect any one Survivor. To infect a Survivor, all they must do is post within two minutes of a Survivor's post, anywhere on the entire forum with the exception of anything listed under Current Games. The FIRST Survivor that Patient Zero posts after in time will become an Infected. Once the initial 24 hours are up, I'll reveal who Patient Zero was, as well as who they infected. During that opening stage, feel free to post directly after people in order to freak them out for fun.

Once Patient Zero and their victim are revealed, the game shifts. First, the two Infected must each replace the Survivor image in their member title with an Infected one. You MUST have this!

From then on, the game continues in 24 hour periods. Every day, the Infected can attempt to spread the Staff InFEction onto one other person (each). To spread the disease, they must post within two minutes of a Survivor's post. Their post can be anything they want. Once they do this successfully, they must post the link to the successful infection in this thread to show me. The first person they infect for that day will be their one and only victim. That person will then join the pool of Infected.

QUOTA

Some Survivors will say...HA! THAT'S EASY! I JUST WON'T POST ALL DAY! :D

NOT SO FAST PALS! Each one of you has a post quota that you must fulfill each day. Everyone's post quota is ten posts per day. Every 24 hours, at 9:00pm EST sharp, I'll be checking the top poster list to see if everyone filled their quota. If you didn't post enough times in that 24 hour span, you will immediately become Infected.

The Infected ALSO have a quota! An Infected player must infect a Survivor once every three days. If an Infected lasts a full 36 hour phase without infecting anyone successfully, they will succumb to the horrible, diarrhea like symptoms of Staff InFEction and will die. That person will be automatically eliminated from the game.


FOUR STAGES

There are four stages of the Staff InFEction, listed below.

Stage 1: Boc



As soon as you become infected, you become a Boc. The first sign of a Staff InFEction is your voice beginning to change into a terrible Wisconsin accent. You also begin to smell of rotten cheese.


Stage 2: Brian



If you fail to record a kill within your first 24 hours, your Staff InFEction only worsens. The symptoms of stage two include vomiting high shrilled laughter and shrieks.


Stage 3: Curtis



If you fail to record a kill a second day straight, you are on your last limb. The symptoms are at their worst as evident by your pale skin, reddish hair, and decaying body and poor health in general. Things are looking grim.


Stage 4: KC



You have failed to record a kill after three days and are now fully incapacitated. All of your hair has fallen out. The Staff InFEction has taken over. You are eliminated.

END GAME

The game will end after about a week. Eventually, one by one, everyone will fall prey to the Staff InFEction. The Infected will begin to outnumber the Survivors, making life for them very difficult as they try to fulfill their quotas while avoiding the Infected. At that point, there will also be competition within the Infected as the number of available prey begins to lower and lower. The Infected at that point will begin to die out if they aren't successful.

The ultimate winner will be the last Survivor standing. If there's more than one Survivor at the time of the end date, we'll go into sudden death until eventually only one person will remain uninfected.

The secondary winner will be whichever Infected was able to successfully spread the infection to the most people. We'll keep track of that number as the game goes on.
