I guess I'm glad to have more clarity on William's wife and it's nice that they finally showed her. William gunning down his daughter was pretty fucked up. And then digging into his own arm to see if he was a host or not was an interesting concept/also fucked

A lackluster penultimate episode really

The promos at the end of each week are so good, I love the way they're edited. Same with the previously on segment, I like how there hasn't been any dialogue in those and it just flashes through moments. It's different

Expected a lot more from a MIB centric episode tbh, the last act was solid though. HOPING MIB isn't actually a host and that was just him further losing his grip on reality. Looking like all the fat's been trimmed and we're gonna get a Dolores/MIB 1v1 reunion next week. That should be good

Poor Teddy :( Loved his speech, sad that he didn't just shoot Dolores instead

also, noticed this one was directed by Stephen Williams aka the second best Lost director. NEAT

90 min finale next week OBOI

Not nearly as good as last week, but that was always gonna be hard to live up to.

Still, this ep had its moments, it probably would have been better had it been more focused. MIB shooting his daughter was one of the darkest moments of the show full stop. Didn't see that coming.

And now Maeve is getting ready to be back in action.

I didn't care for this weeks episode. William shooting his daughter was painful to watch. He's going crazy.

The season finale should be a great one though. So much stuff to wrap up it's going to be intense.

I thought the man in black deserved a flashback, after all he will die in the finale?! at least that's what HE wants. the other story archs were pretty much on hold. or at least it felt like the pawns did just one move the whole episode. maeve/ford, dolores/teddy, cool scenes, but unfortuantely felt so crammed. MIB had all the spotlight, OKAY I guess.

This darkness, inside of him....he's just a selfish destrcutive human being....like every other guy....this demonizing didn't sit right with me, after all I didn't see him as that evil to be honest, I don't know why but I sympathized with him from the start and it felt difficult, even AFTER the daddy delos torture revalation, to hate this son of a bitch. when he shot his daughter, that was the first time I thought "NO william...you don't DO that kind of shit". well, I hope he goes out guns blazing!

btw I digg this "camera moving slightly beneath/behind the character" thing while they walk along long halls. they had those a couple of times this episode, MIB did that walk repeatedly. I recall a shot of Bernard this style aswell!

yeah I never saw MIB as actually evil before either. He did a lot of shitty things to the hosts but to me it seemed like he saw it as a real life GTA/RDR game, where people do fucked up shit like kill random people etc that they'd never even think about doing in the real world. It depends whether you consider the hosts fully sentient (unlike video game characters) but I don't think he saw that way, and they really weren't for most of his time there tbh

It's the same reason why I'm still kinda ehh on the reveal that the parks were really there to record people's "true inner selves" this whole time. I don't think that's really accurate if most people just saw the park as some escapist sandbox game
