^my face when I saw ford's reflection on the piano!
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
Kind of was a mixed bag for me though. Loved that they ACTUALLY used the idea that Vlady brought up last week with MIB and Maeve meeting up again. Wasn't a huge fan of the resolution tho. Glad MIB's alive at least though I don't know how?? Dude got shot like 8 times. It's definitely looking like he'll stumble into the Valley Beyond now and go out in a blaze of glory. Also RIP Lawrence :(
The way the cradle dies was pretty dumb. They really need to stop throwing so many unbelievably stupid human characters in. It really feels like a crutch now that they just use to conveniently get the hosts from Point A to Point B in a pinch (see: Felix/Sylvester in S1). I just wish they'd find a way to achieve the same ends with at least semi-intelligent humans that make realistic decisions
Dolores continues to be really annoying and I wish Maeve was the one leading the hosts if anything. At least she still has a character
The Ford/Bernard stuff was definitely this episode's saving grace though, loved all of that. Jeffrey Wright's been this season's MVP tbh
yeah- after they didn't use the idea last week, I was glad they used it this week. Granted, I was hoping that Maeve would be hysterical about it, threaten to kill William, but he'd convince her to work with him. I did feel this resolution was.... iffy. Hated seeing Lawrence go down.
I also agree on the cradle destruction- I even turned to my wife and said "Say it" because anytime there is a scene like that in a show/film, my wife always says "Men are so fucking stupid!"
Felix wmust be running around with Armistace and Co.- guessing he saves MAeve next week.
Also looks like Ford downloaded himself into Bernard, since the Cradle is destroyed, yet Ford was still running around. I liked the way Ford said something along the lines of "I'll handle this to ease your conscience" with the gunfire showing Bernard being replaced by Ford for a second. That was probably the best scene of the episode.
I'm guessing William gets saved by his daughter shortly.
How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat?
Really liked it. It made a lot of the slower bits this season worthwhile
I was incredibly nervous for William. I wasn't ready to lose him but it really felt like that was about to happen. In retrospect he was of course gonna survive but in the moment I thought he was TOAST! Really glad he lived, that standoff scene with Lawrence/Maeve was tense. Poor Lawrence :(((( . Does this means he's pretty much DONE? With the backups being destroyed?
That means we lost Lawrence, Clementine, Rebus, Abernathy, and Angela for good. Right? DAMN! I'll reallyyyy miss Abernathy if he's not coming back. And I have a soft spot for Lawrence and Rebus. I guess Clementine could still be alive
Liked Stubbs a lot this episode. I was worried Teddy was gonna suddenly pop him for having the gun to Abernathy's head, that would've been sad
The Ford/Bernard bits were the best. I love the idea of Ford playing the devil on Bernard's shoulder going forward. If that's all we'll get from Ford from here on out then so be it. I hope it's here to stay for awhile at least
bernford firing the gun...someone PLEASE make that a GIF!

You always have disaster recovery data sets offsite. Just like comic books, they could all be back.
This episode had way too much stuff going on. Felt like they were trying to cover all loose ends so quickly and with 3 episodes left. I think I may have to rewatch it before next weeks just to soak it all in again.
Couldn't agree more about the cradle scene. We're supposed to believe that these ass hats are the first response team to a major crisis?
It really ruins the immersion when they throw in needlessly stupid characters that a B Movie would be ashamed of. And they seem to have a habit of doing this.
Anyway, it was another good episode. I want to say this season is shaping up to be stronger than S1, or at least on par, but without rewatching it's hard to say really.
Glad Ford is back in some capacity, it was a pleasant surprise to see Anthony Hopkins return.
And I'm actually a big fan of Dolores. I like the contrast between her and Maeve, in that Maeve uses her awakening to try and free the other hosts, whilst Dolores uses hers to oppress and control them.
I think they are setting up a bigger conflict between those two, possibly for the finale
Outside of Riddle of the Sphinx I don't think this season's been close to S1 tbh. It's been kinda like Mr. Robot S2 to me, not bad by any stretch but missing a lot of what made the first season so special
The writers keep hyping up the payoffs that are coming in these last few episodes tho so that could definitely change. S1 was made better after seeing the payoffs at the end too

chucklefucks....where's dat gif?!
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
s1 was all CAT'S IN THE BAG, and s2 is simply CAT'S OUT THE BAG. there is no big noticable difference in quality to me. the little writing slips, I can get myself to see past that.
and just sayin, angela waves those titties in front of you, doing her "perfect" thing, you'd probably forget about your mission too and just wanna go full MOTORBOAT on her. tbh, that bit was very legitimate writing.
now due to the cat being out of the bag, the tone is different, but the unraveling of mysteries and connections are still on point in my opinion. those reveals still hit you, or at least me.

word mike, word!
I like him more since he got rebooted, that expression on his face is BOSS. my gf doesn't like him no more, awww...
...seriously, hahaha, she was complaining about his mean/stern face that one episode. tsss....womenz...
