For someone who loves Marvel much more than DC, I'm surprised to find that with this poll I ended up an even 8/8 split. Some were hard match ups like Spider-Man/Batman and Black Widow/Black Canary for me.

One cracks wise, and the other is super serious.
Iron Man and Batman would have been a closer pairing.

they are the most popular titular characters of their respective franchise.

I love Spider-man and the Marvel movies, but I read DC Comics a lot more. So I sided with most of the DC peeps, except Black Canary, Darkseid, Deadshot and Zatanna.

I'm not mad, I was just saying they aren't that similar. And I did choose. I chose Batman. :P

Superman and cap aren't much alike either.

in powers no...but the persona of mr. right who can do no wrong and justice 4 all is pretty close.

BTW, DC recently released a bunch of titles featuring new characters, and the similarities between them and Marvel characters is so cringeworthy.

I agree. With all the pairings except the one. But I understand why you put them together. They are probably the most popular characters of their franchise.

I only chose three of the Marvel options, I was pretty into DC as a kid
