This thread is for me, Herm, Darkus, Lamps, and the other few European members here, to discuss politics happening in Europe right now.
All you Americans stay the hell out of here. Except for Vlady, as he seems to be some kind of weird half British hybrid, and Maddie, since she studied in the UK for a while. And Vernon kind of walked around Europe, didn't he? If he was around he could join in.
But everyone else, stay out.
I'm feeling left out watching yall talk about US politics all the time. I don't feel like I can contribute to any of those discussions, because ultimately, I think you have to live in the US or have immersed yourself in that world for a long time to truly understand certain things. EG: I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about Gun Control, because in my culture, the idea of a majority of the population owning firearms is completely alien to me.
Besides, there's so much going on in Europe that it seems foolish to focus on another countries political situation.
Current stance on Brexit, for anybody who cares: I'm still 100% in support of it, and think it's disgraceful the way certain elements of our political class are now in the mind of 'how do we deliver this without actually delivering it?'
I think it's time to stop calling it Brexit and start calling it Independence, because there is no ambiguity over what Independence means
I am ashamed to say I voted Tory in the last election, and rest assured I don't think I'll be doing that again. I thought they were the only party that could actually see Brexit through, but as it turns out, they are just as bad as the rest (their other policies were absolutely terrible too)
As it stands, I feel that there isn't a single party in Britain that I can actually support atm. I don't want a centrist party, because if there is one thing I'm glad about, it is that we actually do seem to have politiical parties with widely differing policies for once. I might think Corbyn and co are a joke, but they beat the hell out of the Blairites.
I just want a party to come to the fore with some new and interesting ideas. Most importantly, one that is unambiguously pro independence from the EU
Also, I think it's time that we had a constitution in Britain, with a first amendment style law on free speech. We've got people getting arrested for jokes over here now.

Lol didn't know Farage did that. He says a lot of dumb shit, even though I'm always entertained by his speeches in EU Parliament.
Spot on regarding the EU imo, but little else.
Alot of these politicians framing themselves as anti-establishment are really just another wing of the establishment fighting against the other.

I look forward to us been free from the EU, simple as that really!
I honestly think we should have more referendums in this country. Maybe every five years or so, on all manner of things. We should have a referendum on whether to abolish the house of lords or not next. Or on legalising drugs
