Hall of Fame
Lamps - He had great reads and his strategy of swapping to commuting to protect himself so he can nail scum would have ordinarily worked, but he got caught by one of those classic unscripted moments: the rolestealing of the unstoppable serial killer (mafia didn’t even know he was unstoppable until late in the game). Had Lamps survived, the game would have been over much quicker.
TIB – He complained to me about how terrible he was doing as cop, but if he hadn’t been lynched by townies in a last minute switch, the game would have been over. He had three of four mafia pegged after his last investigation, but was lynched before he could capitalize on his reads. The multipost rant in the graveyard is highlighted as one of my favorite moments from the game.
TT – I never expected the SK to be healed so fast. Apparently, neither did most of the other town players, who got very suspicious of it all.
Maddie – Maddie had some faulty vote switches and some votes that made her look pretty scummy. But Maddie did have some great reads and when she stuck to her guns, she helped secure a victory for town. She had pegged Buffy and Josh. In addition, she was one of the few to question whether I would like Madonna or Michael Jackson (and thus the towniness of Herm or Josh). Despite a few lol moments (like the last minute switch off of Buffy to farlig), Maddie focused and got things done for town. Maddie also tried to focus back on canuck’s unlynchable action, but most of the rest of town ignored it.
Nav – Did fairly well on reads, other than a blind spot on Josh up to the very end of the game.
DS – Had pretty decent reads most of the game and stuck on them. Except for focusing on farlig and a near endgame focus on buffy and josh being 100% town (which he fixed on buffy, helping to get her lynched), DS’s reads could have sunk mafia faster. Some games DS’s reads are terribad, but he gets full credit for the reads this game and for sticking to his guns on them for the most part.
Buffy, Josh, Canuck – All three did a good job of surviving longer than I expected them to. Canuck got some heat D1 from being inactive for most of the day, then his unlynchable action drew some more attention, yet he managed to post in a townie manner that swept most of this aside for a few days. Josh screwed up his safe claim under pressure and instead claimed Michael Jackson, a mistake that should have cost him (most folks forgot me calling MJ a pedo in the Kevin Spacey thread apparently), but managed to eke out a watcher claim that wasn’t countered because the “watcher” had died with Lamps (and with the last successful action being a commute rather than a watch). Again- one of those unscripted moments that just turned out perfect for josh and he worked it. Buffy was also able to survive longer than I thought through working for it: she had a minor error in her safeclaim that only I spotted and she was able to convince town things were fine when she claimed to have jailed Curtis at a time when it wasn’t quite possible to confirm it. I also loved watching Buffy be fake angry arguing with people like Maddie, meanwhile posting in the mafias forum stuff similar to “hope they buy that”.
Dadd – You were constantly active, yet laid under the radar for quite some time. That’s a winning mafia strategy when you can keep it going.
Zersch – You had your lol moments, like killing TT to remove that as a question of whether you’d been cured or not. But you also killed 3 of 8 mafia, two of them after you’d turned townie.

Patrick, Tier – Both did actions then never really came back to explain them, leading to town confusion and ultimately, both of their deaths.
Henry, Helios – Being inactive D1 drew attention to both of them. Henry died immediately; Helios did a good job of ekeing it out further, but it is tough when you are inactive mafia and then have to come back from that attention.
Farlig – I am totally on board with having different strategies in mafia. I’m even on board with farlig’s specific “not vote the first few days” strategy. It’s different from mine and that’s fine. But when it hits Day 8 and you still haven’t posted one single real vote, it becomes a distraction. More so, it felt more like it was to troll townies who ignored his action killing Darkus rather than helping town. It was a distraction that could have handed mafia the game.
Wikey- Got busy at the wrong time and so didn’t get to play out my favorite role for the game. It’s OK, though, I still love you.

Special Mentions
Brian – Your unexpected sacrifice move was totally unscripted, totally unexpected, and had me laughing IRL.
Curtis- Your play was mixed- you had some moments that were fantastic (and “1999” shocked the fuck out of people). But you also had lol moments, like helping lead the last minute lynch on the cop. But your play was *always* enjoyable, even when it was funny.
The rest of the town – Most of you once you got to the graveyard had a good idea on at least one or two of the remaining mafia. It just seemed like the distractions in the game (distractions the mafia capitalized on) kept you from focusing on those one or two reads. Timmah, Spin, Ahoda, Christian, Ben, Primate, etc. etc. In most cases, with a little more time, you'd have been able to do it.
Herm – Separate from the others, you had a mixed game due to moving at the same time. Like Josh, you claimed your actual band instead of a safe claim. Under stress, you thought you’d outed Dadd, which lead to the first time I think I’ve ever seen “nice Herm” explode in anger. Funny enough, this unexpected blow out probably saved him a couple extra days in the game and lead to one of my memorable moments in the lovefest that followed. You also killed your own teammate, but you had no control over that (but your reaction was somewhat priceless).
Darkus – If farlig hadn’t redirected to you, I think you would have done well. Sorry you died so soon.

You know Helios is scum when he summarizes everything and then adds to the discussion by picking out one random sentence someone says and writes an italicized diatribe about how it's curious and he really, REALLY wants to know more about it.
"What did you mean by this, though? You are eating a biscuit? A BISCUIT???? Seems a little farfetched to me. Really gonna need to hear more about this biscuit situation." | Yes
With some form of over the top, “Wait, what the actual fuck?!” thrown in
| A biscuit? Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Say it with me... inactive biscuit is still biscuit. And my key to victory. |

Yeah- your game play was great but missing the first day caught you behind the 8-ball. You also provided some distraction for Canuck, which probably helped him too. Almost didn't put you in HOL but that's because I'm a softy. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I have a soft spot for Joshie because he's so darn good looking. I would have lynched him on the final day though. Just didn't want to hammer late in the night.

Losing Lamps early was a big blow for town. His reads were on point. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

Yeah. I actually thought he was claiming info that cleared Patrick at one time. He even caught that and let me know that wasn't the case in the thread.

I made HOF? surprising.
I actually was pretty excited when I saw Helios on the team, thought I might see some Yoda-level mafia'ing happening first hand.

Yeah- I might move Helios out of HOL into Special Mention. He did quite well after, even being behind the 8-ball.
