These games haunt me;
Mario 64
Mario sunshine
Pikman
Mario galaxy
Luigis mansion
I have a vicious cycle:
I start to play them
Make progress
Get Cbf
Forget for a year or two
Become nostalgic
Start the cycle all over from scratch
I vow to finish these games now (now that uni is over and all.,)
Discuss.
:awesome:
Ps. Off to a nice start been playing sunshine for the last week.. @50 stars

I've 100% beaten the top three but they survive the test of time and are still playable even after the event. With Pikmin it's still kind of fun to try and speed run. The others are fun to play as they come.
Played the latter two but I've never beaten Luigi's Mansion. I've beaten Galaxy but not 100%. Both again pretty fun.

I've beaten Galaxy up to 100% with Mario (cbf with Luigi), while I have taken Galaxy 2 up to full 100% level. | I used to travel the universe, but settled for parks.

Pikman: 25 days left 24 parts needed. I screwed up tho I shouldn't have played the fifth day yet and should have got the blue pikman first.
Love this game tho. Hope to buy pikman 2 soon ( how does it compare?) . Also pikman 3 is the first game I genuinely look forward to on wii u. And maybe zombiu, I dunno yet

2 is still good. I think it lacks a bit of a charm that the first has. I can never quite get motivated to 100% the second because there's a lot of additional stuff to collect which isn't really needed at all. It's also a lot bigger which might not really be a bad thing. They do away with time limits too, kind of removing an element of the challenge.
There are some nice new elements and the new Pikmin are fun (though a bitch to actually obtain which meant I'd rarely use them). There are dungeons which is an interesting dynamic but it does limit how much stuff is in the overworld and cuts the design of that a little short.
It's still a very good game and I strongly recommend it. I might try to beat it through again soon.

Galaxy 1 isn't really worth completing 100% imo. It's just the same game over again with a SLIGHTLY different character. Galaxy 2 is definitely worth going for 100% though, because it actually changes things up. Still haven't beat the Grandmaster Galaxy on Daredevil. Gave up after like my 50th try (:

Yeah, I wasn't terribly motivated to 100% Galaxy or Sunshine, but I've 100%ed Mario 64 at least three times. I would certainly like to get around to playing Pikmin all the way through, but I haven't had the chance in quite some time.
I also haven't played Luigi's Mansion in a while, but I friggin' love that game to the point where it's probably unhealthy. I'm currently the shop foreman and head set builder for my university's Christmas production. Everybody thinks the set is based on a barbershop, but in reality it's totally the Billiards Room from the mansion, as close to the game's design as I could get away with, given my limited carpentry skills. |

perfect dark, golden eye and duke nukem zero hour were/are great shoothers for the N64. | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

Ohhhh Goldeneye. That was the game of choice when I was in middle school.
I used to run around using the bitchslap attack instead of shooting people, because if you timed it right you could literally run circles around the other person, bitchslapping them repeatedly, and they couldn't catch you.
Perfect Dark was also pretty good, but none of our parents would let us play it. We still did, mind you, but we felt pretty ashamed of ourselves afterwards... |

That's re-assuring. It changes the dynamic of the game a lot and the extra challenge is much appreciated.
