Of the $30/40/50/60 games that I'm always eyeing...
Doom
Planet Coaster
Lego Worlds
Astroneer
The Witness
Yooka Laylee
Wildlands
All fairly cheap. Anyone play any of these and have strong opinions on them?

Best game ever?...it felt super repetitive to me. I grinded it out to the end just to make sure I finished it and the ending story made it worth it. But not best.

When I say that it's the best fps ever it's because it's the most exhilarating, adrenaline pumping game ever, it's so fun to play that you don't even care about the story or anything else (but it's also has great graphics). It's the most fps fps I've played.
Other fps games are great because of their stories, tactics, horror, or gimmicks, but Doom beats them all in the action section.

I think I have it from a Humble Bundle too, but I haven't played it. I wind up looking through games suggested for me and realize I got it with that humble bundle, but I think you were the one who told me The Witness alone was worth how much that Humble Bundle was in price.
I also got Stardew Valley which I have yet to play among many other fan favorites like Ninja Pizza Girl and Guacamelee

The witness is actually a game I wouldn't recommend very much. It's very pretty but the game was frustrating because there's 0 story whatsoever. There's like bonus clip things you can find/solve but they're too abstract to give a shit about. The puzzles are decent though, so if that's all you're interested in, go for it. But if you're expecting to like explore and discover secrets of a cool island, you'll be sorely disappointed.
I would recommend the talos principle instead! The story, while kinda pretentious and philosophical, is at least present and interesting. And there's a wider variety of puzzles which I really enjoyed. And it's cheaper than the witness! It's not AS pretty as the witness but it has some cool visual moments, but I still think it's a way better game overall
