Starting off with a little This or That Christmas Style! Would love to know what everyone does for Christmas! Any cool traditions and what not.
Also I put a special option for those who don't celebrate. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

White Christmas - Love snow for Christmas!
Turkey Dinner - Hands down, although we do normally have both for Christmas Dinners for our extended family is decent sized.
Opening gifts on Christmas - I love Christmas morning with the kids, but have always had Christmas with my parents on Christmas Eve which is fun as well.
Sugar Cookies - Love em
Real Tree - Love the real trees even though they are messy and take some work, but love the smell.
Giving Gifts - Doesn't get any better than seeing someone open a gift with something they really wanted or need.
Small Intimate Christmas gatherings - I love the family parties personally. We always get together with friends as well a couple of times over the holidays for football watch parties or white elephant gift exchanges, so that a great time too.
Bottom line is I love Christmas and always have. | |

White Christmas
Green Christmas
Depends on my mood. Peopl around here can't drive for shit in the snow, so that takes it down a notch.
Turkey Dinner
Ham Dinner
Prime rib dinner, then ham.
Opening gifts on Christmas - though my parents used to let us open one on xmas eve
Gingerbread Cookies - These win. Pfarfenuese or however you spell it wins, though.
Real Tree
Fake Tree
We have both. My wife gets to decorate the real tree with victorian ornaments and such. Then we have the fakest looking tree we could find for my sci fi ornaments.
Giving Gifts - With kids, they get excited. With wife and I, we don't wait for one day a year to buy what we want/need.
Fancy Christmas Parties _ have to do these for work sometimes
Small Intimate Christmas gatherings - This is preferred, though
I don't celebrate Christmas this is really insensitive - Kinda true- we're far more pagan in our celebration, but then so is 90% of the "Christmas" traditions anyway.

so hate snow so much prefer a green (and warm) christmas
Ham > Turkey. i don’t like gravy so turkey always tastes so dry
We open on christmas eve since that’s when my family gets together; use to do christmas morning as a kid but now that people live on their own we just do on the eve
Sugar cookies are the bomb dot com
I love the smell of a real tree but we get a fake one since we have a smaller house now
i don’t like giving gifts because i’m terrible at figuring out what people want so receiving by default
small parties because i hate people. no party would be better | |

White Christmas -- it doesn't feel like Christmas if I don't have to haul my ass outside to shovel the long-ass driveway for my parents/grandparents so my lazy aunts and uncles don't have to walk through the snow. Although, the Christmas I spent sipping pina coladas on a Jamaican beach was pretty awesome too...
Turkey or Ham? Neither, give me the beef (prime rib in particular).
Presents Christmas Eve -- Growing up, my mom's side was always the bigger gathering, and that was always on Christmas Eve, so that's what I think of when I think of opening gifts.
Gingerbread/Sugar Cookies -- Neither? There are way better christmas cookies out there than either of those options.
Real/Fake Tree -- Fake. All you people cutting down real trees to decorate for less than a month are contributing to global warming and should be ashamed of yourselves.
Giving/Receiving Gifts -- As an adult, it's definitely better to give than receive. I just wish I had the ability to do more than I can. :(
Parties -- Small family gatherings are all that's needed right on the Holiday.
-------
Also, who doesn't celebrate the retail holiday Christmas? Are you implying people might not celebrate for religious reasons? It's not a religious holiday at all. If you want to celebrate the birth of Jesus, you already missed it, as it's most likely sometime in mid- to late-September. Maybe next year! | |

But for reals:
White Christmas for sure. Love the snow and the cold. More often than not it just rains here though, and if it snows it usually just turns to slush. So we have more of a Grey Christmas here. Which is shit.
Turkey Dinner ayyy
Opening gifts on Christmas Day.
Gingerbread cookies
Fake tree
Giving gifts. I hate opening presents, I act like a weirdo
Small gatherings. My family used to have huge gatherings though, which I miss | |

It's nice when everyone's together at a big (noisy) fancy party, but smaller gatherings seem more special.

White Christmas
Green Christmas
I can't stand snow but the one day it's acceptable is Christmas, it's weird otherwise. But then the very next day if it could all melt that'd be great
Turkey Dinner
Ham Dinner
Ham blows so turkey, but I echo prime rib. We have it every year and it's always delicious
Opening gifts on Christmas Eve
Opening gifts on Christmas
Never understood or did the presents on Christmas Eve thing. Always super early in the morning
Gingerbread Cookies
Sugar Cookies
Sugar for SURE
Real Tree
Fake Tree
We always have one fake and one real in my house, but I prefer the real one
Giving Gifts
Receiving Gifts
Call me selfish but receiving (: . I don't love stressing about trying to find the perfect gift and I do love getting presents, WHO DOESN'T!
Fancy Christmas Parties
Small Intimate Christmas gatherings
uhhh...somewhere in between. BIG intimate Christmas gatherings I guess? We don't go anywhere fancy or anything, just a family party and my extended family is huge, my mom was one of seven so I've got many many uncles/aunts/cousins
I don't celebrate Christmas this is really insensitive

White Christmas
Winter is pointless without snow. Foolish. Dumb.
Turkey Dinner
FUCK HAM!!!!!!! Actually we usually have both and also lobster or some shit.
Opening gifts on Christmas
I wish we did a one gift on Christmas Eve rule but we do not. Sometimes we do gifts on Christmas Night like CHUMPS.
Sugar Cookies
We make a bunch of cookies but no gingerbread. Everything has at least a drop of anise in it for some reason. I actually still like it.
Fake Tree
Some relatives do a real tree but it's a hassle. Fake is forever
Giving Gifts
HONESTLY... Neither! I get kind of stressed about giving gifts and I never have much I want. They come up about equal when I focus on the good, too. Since my favorite Christmas thing I haven't done in years is volunteering, I'll say giving.
Small Intimate Christmas gatherings
I'd rather just go hand out food at the Salvation Army or something, but this is better than a large party. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

White Christmas - only time of year where snow is not only acceptable but desired
Turkey Dinner - ham sux (but it's what my family gets every year anyway)
Opening gifts on Christmas - never understood the Eve thing. I feel like that defeats the whole point
Gingerbread Cookies - way tastier
Real Tree - I cbf to get one but I do appreciate them more
Giving Gifts - fo sho
Small intimate gatherings - easily. That's the true Christmas experience | |
