How do we feel about 48 hour day phases? They've a bit more common lately and are usually used on a weekend

The idea is that weekend days are slower so 48 hours gives more people a chance to show if they're busy

PERSONALLY I think they can bog games down and that extra 24 hours never ends up being really worth it, but I'm curious what the spread is on this

I know some of it might depend on a host not being able to update on a Saturday too

DS' game is SoDope, that 24 hours just can't contain everything that needs to be contained.

Outside of that, I don't remember a game where there was a 48-hour day phase that wasn't over a weekend.

I only prefer them for weekends as we have lives and like to get drunk. Not a fan during week days

I like them for weekends.

The only other time I like longer days is if plurality is not in play, as this requires town to really push to get a lynch (but also can force mafia to have to join lynches to not look like they are avoiding them). So it provides different types of reads.

I hate them, both in weekends and whenever, slows down the game and makes me not so into it. In weekends I usually have a bit more time actually.

I'm the opposite, since I have more time when I'm stuck on boring calls (like right now) that I pay half attention to, so instead I can read and post.

Weekends my family likes to be with me, so I have less time to spend online. I know, I think they are crazy too.

It sometimes makes sense over weekends, especially if it's a long weekend and people are on vacation.

We had days with like 5-10 pages with around 20 people alive sometimes when we started this shit.

It's all dependent on where I'm at in life or what I have going on. But generally, I hate them.

48 hour phases/creative challenges are what usually yanks me out of the game because I don't want to dedicate so much time to one phase which usually results in me doing the exact opposite and getting too lazy, never getting on to post/never getting on to talk to people on aim.

48 hour days mess me up

Avoid if possible, and include, if necessary.
