I would assume that it does. I think the walkie-talkies weren't readable by other players, but I haven't checked the Lab 2 threads. So, I chose to give you the other communicator, because I felt that you're active enough that any communications between us will stay pretty secure, and can be acted upon fast enough to actually be useful. (And, yes, this is why I thought that an active person should definitely accompany Waka and Rito. There's a decent chance that I might get killed by one or both of them, but only if they've got the rifle. I can't see any scum, however insane, giving it to Rito, and if I were to get killed by Waka, at least you'll know and can vote for him.)

Although I really wanted to ask the same question back to you. (And I *almost* swapped my follow to you from Boc after reading the thread all day but decided to just leave it and hope for the best)

Nope, I'm not scum. And, hahaha, I had planned on giving you the communicator ever since I got it, because it seemed like you'd be the best one to discuss things with. I got the communicators out of the locked closet. I got the key in tower #3, and was going to reveal it to the group, but then you died and I was pretty freaked out, so I kept my mouth shut. (This, incidentally, is why I really wanted to make sure there was no kleptomaniac in the group. If there had been one, I didn't want them to jack whatever was in there and pass it into the hands of the damned.)

Makes sense, and thank you, I appreciate the trust and will do my best not to mess anything up. Ok, so some info that may or may not help you. The guns I'm not completely sure about. Both read strangely in their descriptions. I didn't understand them to actually kill. Idk if they were worded that way intentionally but they seemed very vague. It said you could choose a player to target and I believe it only mentioned changing their vote/making it not count for that phase. I've been so hoping for someone to talk to since opening those compartments. Tried to figure out any way possible for just the people I trusted to end up in a group together this phase and it just wasn't happening. I got an experimental bomb. -_- I have no idea what that means. But when used people can cast 2 vote lists that round. It sounds like a huge risk, and I really want a second opinion on it.

Eergh. That could get pretty crazy. Does it work for everybody in the group, or just whoever's in the immediate proximity of the bomb? Also, hmm. That might mean that other people got items as well. It's possible that you're the only one, since 5 is the central compartment, but that's a complete guess on my part.

I had 7, and the etched number matched. I thought maybe there was a pattern to the numbers and if they matched, maybe that person got an item? And no clue how it works. I kind of feel like it might be a last resort sort of item, but I'm not known to be overly aggressive with anything or take unnecessary risks. That's why I was really wanting to hear what someone else thought about it.

Aaaaand I'm blocked for the round. Interesting. I dunno if we're allowed to directly copy/paste from the thread, but what basically happened was that we found the cave that Kristoff was hiding in in one of the flavour posts, and it's got "thou shalt not kill" written over and over again. Roth blacked out, but he woke up again and seems to be okay. We've all been offered the chance to turn back. Kristoff appears to be motivated by guilt, and that might be something you guys can find useful. If you fill his brain with thoughts of remorse, regret, and repentance, he might turn back into himself. Our options are to keep pressing on or head back. There's nothing to loot in the cave.

We're apparently trying to bait Kristoff and run him into the armory. One player must run towards another one, and then that person must run towards someone else. The last person with the target in the thread is going to end up being Kristoff bait. :( I'm not sure yet if someone can be tagged several times, or if once you have been and then targeted someone else if you are safe. Drrr seems to have been killed and Bryce is back. Helios took a pretty bad injury but is ok now. Thought we lost him for a little bit. I don't know how I could guilt him, other than maybe writing "thou shalt not kill" on the wall or something. I don't get the feeling from what I've read that I'd be able to actually talk to this monster. Any suggestions? Think the only thing I could maybe write with is Helios' blood :sad: Maybe a bit extreme?

Try it. Kristoff was writing with blood in the cave. Write it over and over and over. If anybody asks, you came up with that idea all by yourself. And, ehh, Drr getting modkilled for inactivity isn't all that surprising. I recommend making Wikey the last target, if at all possible. He's a scum, and I know that for a fact. Does Bryce corroborate Vernon's story?

If I had to guess I'd say that this is a straight-up "sacrifice the last person" game, with the running. Run to anybody but Wikey. I recommend running to Helios or Boc. Heck, at this point it's not even all that evil to just straight up tell everybody that the best plan is to sacrifice Wikey. He's a scum, and everybody knows it. It's even in the scum's best interests to let him die. And... Vernon has a gun. I don't know how to feel about that. Ask Bryce whether Vernon had the gun and medkit before they went off together, or whether he picked them up in the room. If he had them beforehand, that's an almost 100% certainty that he's a scum.

However, IF you are allowed to run to the same person multiple times... then the best possible tactic is to run to nobody at all. Wait around until about two minutes before the 24 hour deadline is up, then run to Wikey. It's a complete dick move, but it's the easiest way to ensure that a scum gets killed off.

Wikey is absolutely scum. I'm the lie detector, and I scanned him after Bryce called him out. Sure enough, he was lying, and he's scummy as the day is long. And, if people get mad, tell them that you killed the most obvious scum out there, and ask them exactly what else you should have done? Like I said, it's a bit of a cheap move, but it's a guaranteed scum kill. So, Bryce never actually morphed into a demon, then? That's a bit sketchy, but then again Vernon is a pretty good liar when he wants to be, and it definitely makes sense that he would immediately try to run off again. Whether or not he's actually scum or just being a selfish jerk like he was in Lab 2, I don't actually know, but I'll definitely keep an eye on him.

I'm still trying to make sure I understand for sure the phase won't end short of 24 hours or I'd currently be bait. :( For my role, I can call a redo on 2 phase votes. Think it's limited to once per phase and only people who were alive and voting then get to revote. (advantage is they have further knowledge when they place a previous vote) Debating when to use them that it would actually make us catch scum earlier, but also don't want to waste them. I was considering throwing one on phase 1 to maybe get Wikey out a couple rounds earlier? I don't want to admit how much I've tried to think through this role and best/worst case scenarios. People I've kept low on my list all game or have moved from more middle to the bottom of the list over the past phases: Helios Ari Henry Waka Dutchiee Rob Boc You, Waka, Boc and Dutchiee are the 4 I trust the most, Henry and Ari also both seem pretty trustworthy.

Sorry! Alright, I recommend for the time limit, double check the flavour post at the beginning. Paul usually makes the deadline 24 hours from the time of the posting. As for the redo... hmm. I recommend that we find out more scum first. The votes for round one were probably incredibly scattered due to there being such a lack of information to go on. However, if we retcon a Wikey kill that round, we run the risk of screwing up the subsequent rounds where everybody else was voting for him. So I'm not sure what the smarter course of action would be. I'm going to say that for right now, killing Wikey in round one is the better option. I know for a fact that Drr was leading a charge to get me killed. If she was scum, it stands to reason I will die first, and that's going to be a bad thing for us. (And me specifically.) So, I agree on that front. I will post more later.

alol. Vernon is trying to tell us that all he has is a medkit. I'm currently asking him if he has anything else. My hope is that he'll fess up without making me roleclaim. The idea is that if I roleclaim as the lie detector, theoretically I can intimidate both him and Waka into fessing up if either of them is scum. It's a bit of a gamble, but if it works out correctly, it could reap us some good benefits.

The others have all been high on my list all along and Bryce agreed when I posted and said Dylan and Curtis have been high on his list as well. Want a revote on phase 1? Or do you think that could be bad for you because of the Drrr stuff? Maybe phase 2? I hate to not use either, but don't want them to do more harm than good either. Catch 22.

If I had to guess, I'd say that they both need to kill people. I took them both. If Vernon actually does have body armor like Bryce said, then I think we can blow both daggers on him. Or off Jeff and ff_zero, they've been pretty useless, and it wouldn't surprise me if inactivity is being used as a scum tactic. It would certainly make sense for them to do that. As for the cape, I say absolutely pick it up. There are a few things that I can see on the village map which look like they'll be useful. I'm reasonably certain that the bank contains something very, very important. Kristoff's key is lying in the fountain, and his residence is also on the map. We should go there, as well. There are only five phases left in the game, so I feel like we're going to have to move fast. There's also something in the warehouse, and there are toxic chemicals there. I'm immune to those, so if we can identify another scum there, I can get one of them to accompany me to the warehouse, which will kill them.

If you're given the option to go to Central Park, look in the fountain. Kristoff's key is there. At the bakery, you're going to need a password. Vernon has this, and will not give it up for anybody. My guess is he got it in the room, though he might have gotten it from tower two. We don't know who got that, though I've long suspected it was Drr. Kristoff's key probably unlocks the Pietersen residence. It just says "RIP Melissa," but we might find something interesting there. The Cinema says that this movie has a good "TWIST", all in caps. No clue what that means, but I'd avoid it. The Warehouse is contaminated. I'm the only one that can go there, as far as I know. The Village Bank is where Pandora's Box is. Either you or I needs to get there - alone. Even if I show them the map, nobody else will know that that's what's in there, so if one of us can get there on our own, we can get it and get out of there. The Supermarket, it just asks, "Aren't those shelves all abandoned? The apocalypse has truly begun." No clue what this means.

Like, let's imagine Boc is a scum. If we know that now, going back in time to erase him in round one is a great outcome.

Scanning Boc now. If he flips scum, it's time to blow him wide open. If he doesn't, I'm thinking I will probably scan Vespis. It's also worth considering retconning a list to take out someone like Drr or Curtis, who might have been been a scum taking advantage of inactivity as a loophole for survival in the final showdown.

Believe me, I've had the same worry about you for quite a while. I was going to lie-detect you before giving you the communicator, but decided that I would just have to trust you. I only have a limited number of scans, and I don't want to blow one on a reasonably obvious result. And, as for the revote... frick. I didn't get results for the Boc scan yet. I don't know if I will ever actually get them, on account of him suddenly dying. I mean, really, it's so theoretical that I really don't have any better advice to give you than I already have.

Here are my fears, we honestly don't even know if we have more town than scum alive right now. So to think we could coordinate a revote and be sure it hits our favor feels very risky. I just don't know. I got the cape...it's a protective thing and I can target a player on a certain phase and any votes against them won't count in the final showdown on that phase.

It's possible. I think they'll be more concerned with acquiring items than killing us. There are only two more people than there are locations, and if they don't get the stuff, we will, and that's bad for them. We shouldn't lose communication, unless something tragic happens. My feeling is that Paul would probably close the thread. We lose the threads at the end of each phase, so it stands to reason they wouldn't get access to this forum. I will definitely be more cautious, though. (And, yes. I strongly suspected I might not make it back, and consistently worried about it. I still have no idea how I survived that. Vernon might not actually be a scum, but he's certainly a fool.) Also, I was right about the daggers. They're cursed, and instantly make the townies lose the game if I don't kill someone. I had to make a decision before moving, so I elected to take out Vespis, since Helios pointed out that there's no possible way he can be telling the truth about being Town aligned. (And if he is, it won't affect him.) I would have gone for Vernon, but there was no way to tell if he actually has body armor. However, since I know you're paranoid, I will say outright that I did not kill Boc. Someone else has a stabbing weapon - I'm going to guess they got it out of a compartment, unless there was a place to pick it up while you guys were tempting Kristoff...
