I propose a suggestion to all the mods out there for current/future mafia games: when you list a player as dead in the 'Player List' post everybody uses, add in a spoiler tag and include their role info, that way it's easy to find and access (if wanted).

People already list the player, their character/role, and the night/day they died, why can't we also include the info about the role? You already post the information in the individual day threads. It's literally one more copy/past action, and would make things so much easier for the players.

Including a list of all living players' roles would also help me out a lot

Good idea, imo. I also like the living characters listed in the first few posts like Buffy is doing in her game. Makes it a ton easier for my lazy ass.

Spin's suggestion is not a bad one, I know he suggested it during my last game too. But it's really not that hard to go to the start or end of the day that they died to read their roles. The list does tell you where to find the information. It might not seem like a big deal to add into the list, but it does create more work for the mods.

Don't even get me started on vote counts. :P

Except when someone dies mid-day. It's next to impossible to go back and find those easily.

I play on at least 4 different devices (home computer, work computer, phone, tablet), and there is no way I'm trying to coordinate a notes app across all 4 different OSs.

I've thought about that too, but I agree it could turn into a nightmare with people incorrectly updating, leaving other people off the list etc. Or just not doing it. I really hate the search feature on this board, though. It's so slow!

Not really that hard imo. You just go to the host's posts for that day.
