A large, brightly coloured box sat in the middle of one of the busiest intersections of Gotham City, blocking traffic.

Nobody knew how it had gotten there, but the giant question mark painted on the sides provided a hint as to who was behind it.

People started to get out of their cars and soon the box was surrounded from all directions by crowds of curious on-lookers.



Meanwhile, across town:

Barbara Gordon showed up at the morgue to identify the body.

She couldn't believe her father was lying on the cold steel table.

She spied Batman out in the hallway and went out to speak to him.

"Barbara," Batman said. "I'm so sorry for your loss. But rest assured, your father will be avenged."

"Oh, he will, Bruce," she said quietly. "He will."

"Joker's Daughter has been apprehended. There's so much happening right now in Gotham. Bigger things are at play. But the Justice League and the rest of the Family are on it. You can sit this out."

"I appreciate your concern," she said. "I really do. But that's not going to happen. I'm going to help catch every last one of those monsters."

Batman knew there would be no talking her out of it.

"I'll round up the team," he said. "Let's get started."

It is now Day 1. With 30 alive, it will take 16 to lynch. Plurality is in effect. The day will last 24 hours or until someone has been lynched.
