Night 3 begins with Merc and drrr escorted out for their upcoming duel. The group is blindfolded and driving to the gambling hall, where they enter to a rowdy crowd. You can see the paper notes being waved around like crazy by the spectators. Merc and drrr step up to the middle of the ring, and drrr gives Merc the lowdown, since neither of them can understand a thing the Martians are saying.

"When the guy in the stripes over there points at us, we start our throws" drrr says to Merc.

"Ok, sounds good. We go on 3, right?" Merc asks.

"No. Brian told me specifically that we need to go 1-2-3-Shoot. He was very persistent with that, and the Martians seemed to agree" she replied.

"Ok, those are dumb rules, but I'll play along"

The two of them ready themselves, waiting for any signal from the stripey-martian. Eventually things quiet down, and they are ready to go.

"1-2-3-SHOOT" they both say, in unison.

It's plain to see that Merc has won this first battle. Drrr, looking saddened, does not want a repeat of last night happening again.

"1-2-3-Shoot"

This time, the martian guy is waiving his arms and pointing at both participants.

"Looks like we tied. Go again?" Merc says.

"Let's do it!"

"1-2-3-Shoot"

Again, double waiving arms indicate another draw.

"Damn it, why won't you just lose" Merc says to drrr.

"I want to win this too!" she replies.

The two of them steady themselves for the fourth battle, and look straight into each others eyes, trying to figure out their opponents next move.

"1-2-3-Shoot"

"Sorry drrr, looks like you are a loser, again" Merc exclaims, as he takes his fingers and mocks cutting her in half.

"Fucking paper, gets me every time!" drr is heard to say as she's quickly escorted back out to the waiting car. Merc pauses for a moment, then returns with her. They are quickly returned to their homes, and the night can begin in full effect.

Day 4 begins anew with a bright shining sun coming up over the ugly grey flying saucer-thingys sitting at the edge of the Army base. The group returns to the middle of the base, and the President decides to just count bodies this time.

"1...2...3..." he begins, pointing to each person as he goes around the group.

"...14...15...and I make 16. 16? Looks like everybody is here this morning!" he exclaims.

That's right, everybody made it back to the group in one piece this morning. That's great news for the humans. It'll allow them to continue their hunting without missing a beat. They vow to find the remaining Martians.

As the group is ready to start into discussions, a hand goes up.

"Hey guys, I found this piece of paper, and it looks important. Should I read it?"

"Sure, go ahead" someone says.

things are really starting to look up. still there is something up with the kill numbers, they just don't match up. role blocker probably got it right this time since nobody died, but with survivals not appearing in flavor, per Farlig(or was it Timmah?) we cant be sure. hopefully the carolers got us another song.

i actually asked about this last night, to see if i could protect someone in the duel. apparently they get sent home before the night actions start.
