The Board

The descent of Charlie Bucket is well documented.

It began with the uprising. The Oompa Loompas, long discontent with their status as slave labor, began to organize. They demanded real wages and better housing. Bucket protested, appealing to their better nature.

But this did not work. A few weeks after, the body of Willy Wonka was discovered hanging from a chocolate tree. Historians now suggest that Wonka, stricken with cancer, had decided to commit suicide. Bucket thought otherwise. He blamed the death on the Oompa Loompas and hired a group of men to punish them accordingly.

A violent confrontation occurred inside the factory. The hired men killed most of the Oompa Loompas, although a few managed to survive. One unnamed Oompa Loompa exacted his revenge by murdering Bucket's grandfather.

Bucket vanished after these events. For ten years, he stayed out of the public eye. He's reported to have indulged extensively, especially in experimental drugs developed within the confines of the Chocolate Factory. During his absence, the factory expanded dramatically, eating up the surrounding areas. Wonka products flooded the market. An atomic reactor was reportedly installed on site.

One year ago today, what was left of Bucket emerged from hiding. Referring to himself as "Wonka," he announced that he, too, would search for an heir. This time, those who failed would die.

The winner would not only inherit the factory, but also an enormous sum of wealth.
