Google is preparing to roll out its own internet service with 1Gb/sec speeds. That's 1 gigaBIT per second, or ~128 megaBYTEs per second. Ridiculously fucking fast for $70/month. You have to "pre-register" though and get enough people in your area to do the same if you want it installed in your region.
It seems to be US only at the moment, which is a bit of a bummer, but hopefully they'll expand if this catches on. Regardless, I fully support Google's efforts to take over the world.
I don't support one organisation trying to have the dominant market control. It's a good service because Google can afford to undercut the competition. I think it's dangerous for the economy.
While I would normally agree with this completely, it's tough to not want to save $100 a month and have faster internet.
A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart.
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
