I not only worked with Phillip Sheppard on a project a few months ago, but I would consider myself a friend of his. If you have any questions about his time on the show, ask me and I'll tell you what I know!
I can tell you that he is definitely not crazy. He knew how to market himself in front of a large audience, is how I'd put it.

It was a web series I was working on last year called "Development Hell". I left the project last fall, but I was producing and acting in it, and Phillip was in the last episode I worked on:

But yeah, he's a great guy. Really down to earth and friendly. Everyone loved working with him. When we were editing the episode, he really wanted to watch us do it, and when he came to the editing room, he brought us Italian food and everything. | |

I'd like to believe that Philip was in fact crazy and that was his natural self, until a publicist took him aside after his first season and told him to roll with it as if its an act :P
