A buzz could be heard along the ashy fields of Trenzalore, just a small vibration along the surface of the ground. The fields hadn’t seen any living being for years, no centuries, and yet this small shaking seemed to call forward the potential that someone, somehow - was out there and waiting to arrive, waiting to come to their ultimate demise.

Trenzalore had a history of turmoil, plague, infestation, death - it’s soils were known for the battles that had rest upon them.

With a sudden pop, twenty-six people came to the fields, each with their own personalities and devastating histories, many had fought battles, some wars, some lifetimes of pain and suffering. All confused and unwary of what their ultimate purpose was in this arena of grey, they reluctantly moved forward, mumbling silently to break through the dreadful silence that hung over them all. There was a purpose, after all to their visit, there always was.

“Right then,” a voice whispered, a sonic frequency bursting through the air. “Let’s get started, shall we?” With that, the limp body of Roos fell from the sky, bloodied, beaten, and prodded.

“I’ve, we’ve had enough of your game now. It’s time to stop you all.” He whispered again. “I’ve never resorted to violence before, but it seems now that you pests won’t stop, I’m going to have to.”

Murmurs of agreement peek out from the shadows, companions alike agreeing harmoniously, now was the time to make a stand, now was the time to fight. In the fields of Trenzalore.
