The group was happy. For once, no one was losing candy, no possessions, no traps nor tricks, and Vernon was dead. It was all smiles.

They stuffed their pockets with candy and danced around the room with the other guests merrily. Zersch slammed back shots, puked them back up, and drank some more. KC took a seat by the bar and started to chat it up with other friendly faces.

"This small talk thing isn't so bad!" he said.

Natalie and Shadow danced around merrily. Things were great. Curtis looked on at the crowd of strangers, as confused as he's ever been. He had no idea what to make of it all.

The bartender twirled his mustache and rejoined with the group.

"Ahh! I see you're all enjoying yourselves. :) "

The four stood before him and smiled back.

"Shall we play a little game?" the bartender asked. "Come come!"

He waved his arm forward and parted the crowd. Next to the dance floor was a large, wooden card table. Five chairs were positioned around it.

"Let's play a simple game of cards! :) "

The crowd cheered and circled the table. The four looked around at one another and shrugged. Each took a seat around the table.

Curtis spoke up. "I dunno...guys we kinda have some stuff to take care of!"

"Relax sir! Take a seat. I insist. :) " replied the bartender.

"Seriously guys..let's get outta here.." Curtis said as he began to walk off. His path was blocked by the smiling faces as the bartender grabbed him and spun him around.

"I INSIST :) "

The once amiable bartender's mouth formed a black hole. It opened wide as he screamed out. Curtis looked on in horror as a dark mist traveled from the bartender's mouth into his own.

The four jumped up from their seats, but were forced back down by other bar patrons. Curtis fell to the ground and writhed around as the fog began to clear.

Suddenly, Curtis shot to his feet, but something was different. His eyes were now black, and a permanent smile was across his face. More than usual. He cricked his neck around and mechanically sat down in the chair across from the other four.

Curtis looked across the card table at them.

"Shall we play? :) "

Elimination Quest



- Each of you will play a Blackjack-type game with me via PM.

- The goal of the game is to collect the highest total value of cards possible. Whoever does this will be safe from elimination. One of the three losers will be eliminated later on.

- There are 14 types of cards. Each card is a picture of one of the 14 players. There are three of each.

- Two cards are randomized to each of you at the start. From that point, you will either say HIT or STAY. When you STAY, your hand is over.

- If you say HIT, I'll give you another card from a pre-randomized stack. That card will add onto your current total.

- But beware, there are five DEMON cards hidden in the stack. If you hit a demon card, your hand will end, and you'll lose every card that you received except for the first two. Your total will be whatever you began with.

- Your goal is to get a higher total than your opponents, but you won't know what your opponents stop at. You may communicate with one another, and you may also lie about where you're at to throw each other off. Only one can win.

- If you keep receiving cards, you're likely to hit a demon and lose everything. If you stop with too small a score, you may not have enough to win. Play wisely.

The once pleasant room was now incredibly eerie. The possessed Curtis sat at the head of the poker table and smiled across the felt. His eyes bled a dark black substance that ran down his cheek and into the corner of his mouth. He grinned at the four players, who were each forced down into their chairs by the smiling bar patrons. Curtis shuffled up and dealt the cards.

The bartender twirled his mustache and watched with glee as the game began.

Shadow began with a measly total of six. "hit" he said. Curtis smiled and slid a card over.

"Hit.....or stay :) " responded Curtis.

"FUCK........hit." Shadow replied. He reached twelve, then twenty-three, then thirty. He wasn't sure how much he should press his luck...

Zersch began with eighteen and felt confident. "am gamble adict. hit."

His eighteen grew...and grew...and grew. Finally, it was enough for him.

"will stay." he said.

KC looked down at his Perry and Natalie cards. A solid fifteen. "Hit that shit." he said. Curtis slid a card over. Twenty-six. He hit again. And again.

"Fuck it. Hit." he said once more. He felt confident with his hand and stopped.

Natalie was last up. She looked down at her Korr and Kiwi cards. She teared up a bit as she saw Kiwi's blank Michael Myers face staring back up at her.

"Hit. Hit. Stay." she said. Just like that, it was over.

The bartender clapped and laughed with glee. The rest of the guests were crowded around the table and joined in on the clapping. The game was done.

Curtis collected the stack of cards from each player and placed them into four piles. He turned them over one by one....

Shadow smiled awkwardly. "yay" he said as he stroked Shadowcat's back. The other three were aggravated and worried.

"What fun we've had tonight!" exclaimed the bartender. "That makes you the winner, my little clown friend :) "

"okay lets leave now" responded Shadow.

"Nuh uh uh! Not quite yet. We have one final order of business to attend to."

Shadow looked on curiously.

"Your wager!"

Zersch, Natalie, and KC were grabbed from behind by the guests turned demons. They put up a struggle, but it was no use. The demons let out a horrifying scream as Shadow knelt down and covered his ears. Curtis sat and smiled as the other three were lifted from the ground in a cloud of thick fog. Their arms and legs were stretched to the side as they levitated in the air before Shadow.

"It's time to make a choice :) " the bartender said.



Elimination Quest

- Shadow won the game, and now must offer up one of the remaining three for elimination. Whoever Shadow chooses will be eliminated from the game.

- Try to decide within the next 12 hours. The new day will go up once you do.
