Curtis led the remaining four through the doors at the top of the stairs. They left the foyer as the living dead continued to feast on Frankenvern. The echo of their moaning faded out as the group continued on through the mansion.

"What's the plan now?" Natalie asked Curtis.

Curtis stopped and faced the group. "I think...it's about time we get out of here."

The group sighed with relief. "how" asked Shadow.

Curtis looked down at the ground and thought for a moment. "...I know a way. Follow me."

The four were led down the winding halls. Natalie stopped midway down one hallway and lifted an object up curiously. It was Kiwi's fake Michael Myers knife. Natalie frowned and dropped the knife.

As they passed one door, a faint sound was heard from within. "i here musik." Zersch said. Curtis thrust the double doors open.

It was the ballroom, and it was full of people. Not ghouls. Not ghosts. Ordinary people.

The room full of people turned the record player off and scratched the record. The room silenced as they all turned their heads to face the five standing in the doorway. There was a brief moment of awkward silence.

Then the music continued. The room erupted back to life and everyone continued on their way. The bartender was serving up drinks to the happy patrons as groups of people danced on the wooden dance floor. Everyone was merry and the room was lively.

"....what." KC said.

They all looked to Curtis, but even he was puzzled. A look of confusion fell over his face.

"What is this?" Natalie asked.

"I..have no idea." Curtis said. "I have no idea who these people are.."

The five piled into the room and looked around in awe. The room was crowded with friendly faces. Everyone smiled at the five guests and welcomed them. The bartender saw them and walked on over.

"Hey there!!" he said with a large smile. "Can I get you anything? A refreshment perhaps!"

"who r u" said Shadow.

The bartender chuckled. "You all enjoy yourselves! Take a look around and have fun!"
