Only ten were left now, and Curtis was no where to be found. The ten piled through the doorway and out of the tower room as the floor caved in completely. They slammed the door behind them, happy to be out of that room.
They found themselves in the library. It was an incredibly large room and included a second floor accessible by a spiraling iron staircase. Rows of hundreds of books lined the walls of the room.
"What should we do now?" asked Korr. No one had an answer.
Natalie, Bryce, Rob, and Kiwi stood dangerously close to the large fireplace, staring into the flames. They were so close that rubber base of their shoes began to soften and melt a bit, but they did nothing to stop it. They simply stared into the flames and smiled. Matt shuddered at the sight. There was a gaping hole in his memory from his time of being possessed.
Vernon mourned the loss of his friend Perry as he gripped onto his precious Skeleton Key. He walked off from the group a bit and leaned against a bookcase. Without warning, the bookcase spun around on its own. It nearly took Vernon with it, but he dove back into the center of the room just in time.
The bookcase spun around 180 degrees, revealing a hidden passage behind it as it moved. When it stopped, the side facing the group was now a segment of the wall with a torch on it.
"y ?" asked Shadow.
"Some sort of hidden passage I guess." KC replied.
Zersch stepped forth and poked the wall with his prop chainsaw. "we find more. find curtis." he stated.
