Just before the pairs could split off, the double doors were thrust open. It was Jeffrey, the creepy half mute groundskeeper.



"oh men oh men!!" he yelled.

"hi" said Shadow.

"Jeffrey, calm down!" Curtis replied. "What is it? Use your words."

Jeffrey eyed the remaining twelve and decided instead to whisper to Curtis

"...ppsspssssppsssspsohmenpssspsspspsssssohhhmenpssss..."

It was then that Jeffrey presented Curtis with something. Vic's very bloody Skeleton Key. Curtis looked down at it and gulped.

"##Steal key" said Perry, putting the stupid in stupid_panda. Curtis turned back to Jeffrey

"You're sure?"

The other twelve looked on curiously. Curtis turned to face them. His concern turned to a forced smile.

"Well! I uh, suppose it's time you all set off now. There are dozens and dozens of rooms in this house. You'll all begin searching on the first floor."

"I advise you to search well. The pair that has the smallest average amount of candies between the two of them by tonight may just end up like Boc and Vic. I do hope you chose the right partner."

As everyone began to set off, Curtis spoke once more.

"Ohh Matthew! Did you think I would forget?"

Matt stopped in his tracks.

"The box. I believe it's time for you to open it." Curtis said with a smile.

Matt reluctantly removed the small wooden box from his sack. He wiped the dust off as Korr stepped away from him. Matt slowly lifted the lid.

WHOOOSH

A puff of air burst out of the box, as if it had been sealed for many years. The gust of air seemed to surround Matt as he began to panic. The paintings that lined the walls shook. The suit of armor in the corner fell and smashed into pieces. Everyone hit the ground and covered their ears as a high pitched sound emitted from the box.

Matt was frozen in place as the gust of air thrust itself into his throat. With that, the box shut closed. Everyone lifted their hands off of their ears and eyes and rose to their feet. They all turned to Matt.

Matt was sitting peacefully in the center of the foyer steps, looking over the faces of everyone in the room. A deranged smile formed on his face as he cricked his neck in an unnatural position. His smile turned to manic laughter. No one knew what had gotten a hold of him.



Matt has been possessed.

If a player remains possessed by the end of the day, they will automatically select a negative candy choice for themselves in a Main Quest.

It's time to split up. There are twelve rooms to search on this floor. Each pair will visit two. Each individual person must select one of the following. You may change to something else as long as it hasn't been picked yet. Which room do you wish to search?

Side Quest #2

There's a hidden bonus challenge during the Day phases. Matt unknowingly succeeded on Day 2 and has received a five candy bonus. The hidden bonus is in effect each day. If you can figure out what it is and accomplish it, you will benefit from it.

If you have a regular key, I'll buy it off of you for 10 candies. What do you say?
