As KC and Bryce fled from the creepy tool shed screaming their heads off, KC caught a glimpse of Natalie happily climbing down from the gutter with a sack full of candy.

"God damnit." he said to himself.

Korr and Lamps rounded the corner of the mansion to reconnect with the group. The two were coated in thick blood. They tried to wipe it from their eyes, but it was no use. Everyone took a giant step away from them.

"Vic, if you would?" Curtis said as he gestured towards the key hole underneath the gargoyle on the door. Vic clutched his precious skeleton key in his hands as everyone shot him a look. They all wanted that key.

He stepped up to the large door and slid the key into the keyhole. He turned it and was met with a loud click. With a gentle push, the heavy door creaked open very slowly. The inside of the mansion could hardly be seen from where they stood. A thick darkness prevented any sort of visibility inside. Vic removed the key and rejoined the group as the doubled doors swayed open.

"does any1 want 2 go first " said Shadow

"I've got any idea..." Curtis began. "....let's split up! We'll cover more ground that way. Everyone knows splitting up is the safest bet." Curtis said.

Everyone nodded at the sound logic.

"I'm not going in though. Not yet anyway. Jeffrey and I have some stuff to take care of out here for a bit first. Some more instructions that Paul left."

"..ohhh....men." Jeff said as he nodded.

"You guys are gonna have to split yourself up into pairs. Six pairs of two. Unfortunately, that'll spell trouble for one of you. Whoever's left over will have to split off on their own to search the house. Sorry!"

The thirteen stood at the base of the steps as Curtis and Jeffrey left them. They looked around at one another, then up at the open doorway. One of them would be left out.

- Once the person that you choose picks you back, the two of you will become partners. At that point, the two of you are locked.

- You may attempt to choose someone that another person is attempting to choose. It's then up to the person to decide between the two of you.

- You don't have to ##Unchoose or anything. You may choose as many people at once as you wish.

- You have 24 hours to choose. If partners aren't chosen by then, the rest will be randomized.

- Once all six pairs are picked and one person is left over, the phase will end.
