I think for the first 30-40 phases I was up there, then a combination of laziness and less activity saw me take a smaller role in the group.
Boone, on the other hand, got better as the game went on. A great character who I think surprised everybody when he transformed from silly comic relief to the groups most important cartographer and one of the smartest players.
