I imagine a fair few of you will have heard of this website before (someone might have shared it here in fact), but for those who haven't: EveryNoise is a website that lists every single genre on Spotify and allows you to play snippets of songs from each one. If you click on a genre it will take you to another page which lists all the artists that fall under it. Spotify has about 4000 genres in total, and they can get very specific. Some are tailored to specific moods, some are country specific and even regional.

Here are some of the strange genres I found just now after having a quick glance through:

Pirate, a genre that is dedicated solely to Pirate songs.

gbvfi - Not a clue what this is supposed to mean, looks like someone fell asleep on their keyboard.

There are so many. If you haven't checked out this website before, I recommend it. I'm using it for research purposes at the moment, but it's a great way to discover new artists. Feel free to share any weird genres you find.

One more thing: HAPPY NEW YEAR FE, this website has done alright hasn't it really? See attached poll btw for a New Year quiz. Demonstrate how well you know the history of this online community by correctly answering which year Further Instructions was founded. As in, the first forum Paulus made that started this community. NO prizes to be won. I left an Other option because I don't really know the answer because I'm shit. I think the right year is on there, but we shall see.
