I'm trying to come up with a list of Christmas specials and movies to watch this year. I'm thinking about trying to watch a movie or special for every day of the month leading up to Christmas.
What are your favs?
I'm going with a very broad definition here. If it takes place on Christmas or its got the right themes, it counts! Or if it's about any other december holidays that's fine too. So Die Hard definitely counts, and so does something like the Rankin-Bass Jack Frost movie.
I wanna get a list going that's pretty broad! Different styles, different genres. Wanna make sure i don't get sick of Christmas before it arrives! Thee do not need to be Good movies | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

I watched Tokyo Godfathers a few weeks ago with a friend. Was definitely a Christmas movie and really great! Recommended!

Try Black Christmas if you’re in the mood for Christmas horror

saw Tokyo Godfathers for the first time earlier this year, loved it
Christmas Vacation has always been my family's go-to for more typical Christmas movies, pretty much know all of it by heart at this point

for more ATYPICAL, Shane Black loves setting his movies on Christmas and it really does add FLAVOR to them. e.g. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys (both of which are...buddy comedy noirs?)

I used to watch I'll Be Home for Christmas every year with my family. It's nothing special, but I liked it. It's got a 23% on rotten tomatoes, lol. Cheesy disney christmas movie.
Eight Crazy Nights - about Hannakuh
I've never seen Scrooged (1988) or National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (1989). Haven't seen Tokyo Godfathers either. All going on my to watch list come December. |

My favorite is The Family Stone.
Die Hard is a favorite classic
I watched Inglourious Basterds on a Christmas Eve a couple/few years ago but that's probably not technically a Christmas movie.

I watched Scrooged and it didn't register at all for me.
Heart of the Holidays on Hallmark, though, was great. |
