def not as good as last week's but still enjoyed it enough. Larys being a foot fetishist I did not see coming lol. My mind started to drift there when she initially put her feet up but then I thought SURELY that can't be where this scene is going. Oddly fitting tho! Man has even more in common with Littlefinger than initially thought
ending scene was a cool visual but I have a really hard time reconciling that character decision. Rhaenys literally could've stemmed off the whole war then and there but suddenly gets cold feet?? Even though she's just gonna run back to Dragonstone and get the war started anyway, so it's not like those people aren't going to almost 100% die anyway. SOME characters I could accept that from, but Rhaenys is supposed to be someone that's always been fit to be a ruler? And all she did here is needlessly killed hundreds of innocents, had a staredown with some usurpers, and ran off to let the kingdom descend into war. Great work!

I wasn't a fan of how they treated Allicent like she's oblivious and naive in this episode. Everything she's been saying and doing in past episodes has been leading to this. Very jarring. Ser Criston sure is leaning into it. They should've named the show Ser Criston gets away with murder and assault of high lords in front of other high lords. But I guess that name was too long.
The dragon coming out and killing everyone who was cheering for darth aegon was hilarious though. Princess Rhaenys then not killing the people who imprisoned her with dragon fire was just poorly handled. [Episode 5 ending vibes] I have to imagine these are changes from the books. Still, show is super well made. Just strange character/creative choices in some big moments. |

Saw everyone online hyping the ending, I thought it was pretty dumb lol. Also it looked bad
Fine ep otherwise but probably my least favorite of the season

It's frustrating because the show has been really good when they aim for palace intrigue level drama, but it's once they insert ~EPIC MOMENTS~ that it starts to falter and strain credibility. Seems like sometimes they don't have enough confidence in their own writing and feel the need to add more excitement even when it doesn't fit

I’m over Larys. He’s just kind of always there. I haven’t posted every episode but agreed with what someone said about his motivation for killing his brother and dad being absent was frustrating.
Agreed with the last scene. For starters, not having anyone guarding the dragon pit was silly on its own, but the lack of action by Rhaenys seemed silly.
Other than that though this season has been really good. I’ve been breezing through the episodes. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
