I'm a sucker for anything Stephen King, and I've been following the shoe pretty adamantly and bought the book to read on the flight to Florida. Both are super different yet very similar and I love when that happens when a book is adapted to the screen. I love how in depth the show is, honestly. I didn't even think of all of the airborne illnesses being trapped in the Dome, and that subject was approached in a fantastic way. It's a great series and a great book so far, definitely. Has anyone else been watching? Which characters are your favorite? Which plots and subplots are most intriguing to follow? If you read the book, do you prefer one to the other? Discuss!

Watched the first two episodes and then I kept forgetting what night it was on (:
I liked it though. Heard it got silly at times but that's to be expected...they're in a dome. I love Dean Norris (Big Jim or whatever) and I'm glad he's got a prominent role here. His son sucks though, not a fan of that kidnapping plotline really, but maybe it'll get better. I liked the stuff with Barbie killing the reporter's husband
I'll have to catch up soon!

My sister and I burned through the entire second season of GoT yesterday so I missed the most recent one :P The only silly thing really is the whole seizure thing which I really don't understand. It's like the dome is alive or something?

I stopped after episode 3. Got too busy I suppose. Maybe when I get home I'll have time to catch up. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Yes | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart. |

Anyone watch the first episode of season 2?
|
I was kind of sad to see Linda killed off so fast, and especially Angie at the end, ugh. I did not think they would kill her because of the four hands thing and the dome but guess not. I was worried about this when they said they would kill two main characters in the first episode before the season began. |

I bought and enjoyed the book before I knew it was even going to be a tv show, so it was exciting when I found out that it would be. I like the book a lot better than the show though, because with network tv, they can't get away with everything that happened in the book and the tone of the show is a little different with Spielberg being involved. I watched all of last season, but found it to be pretty silly at times, so I'm not sure how long I'll be watching for. I will watch the second season premiere and decide from there.
