Time for a toughie!
First, you need to think of something that's completely against your morals. Whatever that means to you. EX: Cheating on your significant other. Thought of something? GOOD!
Would you rather do that and no one know about it; or not do it, but all of your friends and family think you did do it?
Heavy shit. Try to think of different examples rather than cheating on your significant other. Addicted to drugs? Killing an innocent? Etc.

Easily the latter. People use to think I was a gigantic pothead/druggie when I was in school when I was really straight edge. So it's really no skin off my nose anyway if people think I'm something I'm not. Most of my moral decisions are based off self respect, not to appease those around me. |

I picked the second one.
I've always been straight edge and if people think I did something I didn't, then that's something they have to come to grips with but like KC said, it's no skin off my nose...that's their own thoughts.
I'd much rather not do it if it involves killing, drugs, alcoholism...any of those I'd rather stay away anyways so why do it just because people think you did? It would go against my morals to appease others and that's not something I'm about. | | |
