This is actually pretty fun so far! Anyone else playing or played it?

I'm a huge paper Mario fan and had followed this one pretty closely but I think it still doesn't quite measure up. Or at least it failed to grab me in the end. All the battles being puzzle based is really strange and I hate that Nintendo won't let them make new Mario characters anymore. All the partners from older games were so interesting and varied and now?... It's a bobomb! Just a regular one nothing fancy.

In sure it's very fun I just am old person yelling at clouds.

I've seen a lot of gameplay of it and I want to.

The constant battles is my only qualm. Funny you mention it!

I never played any other paper mario games though so I cannot compare. I’ve been doing play throughs of every mario game for the past year as you may know. The battles are annoying. And I don’t know if I should avoid them or not cuz sometimes they give you something important or a toad pops up.

Everything else is p fun though. I still think I’m early game tho

Well the original paper Mario is coming to the N64 online app when that comes to switch so you should eventually check that out.

I tried Super Mario Bros 3 the other day. I forgot if I said this already. What a tough fucking game. I forgot there are no saves. How is that even a thing lol. Crazy. I used to play as a kid and I don’t think I ever beat it

This is a deceivingly long game.

Especially if you want to get all the Toads, ? Mark Blocks, Pot Holes, and Hidden Collectibles.

I've only removed the red streamer so far and there's 5 total streamers I think.

I'm enjoying it! Really growing sick of the battles which is unfortunate since it's such a big part of the game.

Finally beat this game. Battle mode got so annoying. Honestly challenging game overall.

I was hyped for this game. And then found out that it removed everything that made Paper Mario actually great. Story is decent. But battle mechanics were just repetitive garbage. Now I know the originals were just fighting. But it was to me, better strategic battling than what has been done in this game.

Best part was discovering toads
