Greetings

The time has come to sell/get rid of all my old physical video games. I already sadly got rid of my dvd collection yesterday, it pained me. But I figured I’d look into selling my video games, especially n64. Mayyybe GameCube? Xbox 360 games I imagine aren’t worth the trouble

Anyway I know nothing about the underground world of reselling stuff. Does anyone have experience using eBay or Offer Up or anything of the like? Especially selling old games? I’m trying to decide if it’s even worth it (I’m not strapped for cash or anything I just figured I’d try to get something for them). Some prices I’ve seen seem promising but I also don’t know if it’s worth the time and effort to ship things etc.

Sound off

Maybe bundle them? Wouldn’t get as much for them so maybe if there are any that are super pricey (Nintendo stuff tends to be expensive because they are terrible at re-releases / digital content) maybe keep them separate.

What you got GameCube / N64 wise?

Do you have a list of what you've got? It would definitely take a long time listing them one by one on ebay, and the listing fees would start adding up when you get into relisting things that don't sell immediately.

The main thing you need to make sure you do for anything worth a promising sum is take extensive photos of what you're selling and include any little thing about the condition, even if it seems negligible. Because eBay has a tendency to always side with buyers over sellers and there are a considerable amount of horror stories out there about people losing their item and the money because of this.

I mean if you don't care about the money too much and just want SOMETHING, GameStop or a similar store is always an option. Probably what I'd go with just for ease of use tbh

Facebook Marketplace also is pretty good since you can set it for only local buyers, so you can just meet up with them rather than shipping anything

Yeah Marketplace would be the same as OfferUp. I would probably actually do marketplace over that, I bet its more widely used, good idea

I’d also rather bundle than go individual for sure. I’m not tryna send out tons of individual packages, I’d only do that if any of them were worth a pretty penny on their own but I doubt it tbh. No idea!

I’ll take some pics of what I’ve got later

I just gave them all to GameStop. It was a little heartbreaking having them look at a game, plug it in to the computer to see the listing price, and then be like "$1.50". lol

but whatever, Craigslist and all that shit is such a bitch and there are so many scammers.

Put them all in a box, seal it up, and then in 20 years bust them back out and it'll be all retro and you can show your kids how crappy video games were when you were their age.

We just did that with my original Nintendo and super NES.
