I'm going to be posting each version as I make it and screenshots along with an actual working applet once I get to that stage in the development. Before then it'll just be images.

I'm starting from the very beginning. I'm rusty so just refreshing my memory on how Java applications work. Might as well update everything in here. It's fun to post it growing.

Version 0.1
- Created game project called "BestGame".
- Application displays a message that says "Test" when it runs.
- Changed this message to say "Hello FE".

Hi best game how are you?

This isn't a proper game without user input so that comes next.

Version 0.2
- Application now prompts user for entering 1 or 2 on loading.
- Waits for the user to enter a number and reads it.
- If the number is 1, displays a message saying "Test".
- If the number is 2, displays a message saying "Hello FE".
- If the number is anything else, displays a message saying "Hello Leos".

You can try!

Time for another long awaited release of best game that ever was or will be (tentative title). This version stops us relying on console text feedback and brings an Applet into the picture. That's the actual game window you'll see when you play it so it very nearly is a playable game you can all try. ARE YOU PUMPED?

Version 0.3
- Game now runs as an Applet instead of an application.
- The Applet displays the welcome message, prompting the user for input.
- Created a game thread so the game will run continuously until closed off.
- Typing 1, 2, or any other number into the console will make the applet display the messages as before beneath where it asks for pressing 1 or 2.

EDIT: Nevermind, this version has new stuff.

Version 0.4
- The game now responds to keyboard input on the window
- Pressing 1, 2 or any other key does the same thing as before
- The graphics auto-refresh once a key is pressed
- The game now works right from loading
- Packaged the game online to be playable

Now featuring exciting new graphics and wonderful gameplay mechanics.

Version 0.5
- Added colour. Changed background to black and text to white.
- Pressing any other key now takes player off the menu and prompts to move with arrows.
- Made the text more compact.
- Arrow input moves the text around.

So far the game has been lacking an ability to win. Now you can play for glory as you hunt the single star. Will you make it? Nobody knows.

Version 0.6
- "Player" object is now a circle instead of text
- Now prompts for pressing 3 to start
- Added star
- Added collision with star, now brings up win message
- Star disappears from screen when player hits it

CIRCLE! I loved that guy in green circle vs. red circles! Is this a prequel?
