Six teams set off from Lisbon, Portugal to the snowy central-European country of Austria! At the airport, five teams chose the same, slightly risky flight path while Cody and Nav played it safe and solo by taking the 30 minute slower path. Unfortunately for them, the first flight path had zero delays so they arrived in Vienna on time. Upon landing, teams drove themselves to Salzburg where they faced a puzzle or pretzel detour. Hilarity ensued for those who decided to take on the pretzel challenge as TiB in particular made a hilarious video with brother Rodg.
At the roadblock, teams were taught a series of Mozart's most famous songs. Somehow, Vern left the roadblock in first place which allowed him and TiB to cruise to victory!
In the end it was Cody & Nav who simply couldn't make up the flight arrival time deficit.
Phil: "I hate to say this but you have been eliminated from the race. Thanks so much for playing though, it's been a blast!"

Five teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?
Salzburg is an Austrian city on the border of Germany, with views of the Eastern Alps. The city is divided by the Salzach River, with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Altstadt (Old City) on its left bank, facing the 19th-century Neustadt (New City) on its right. The Altstadt birthplace of famed composer Mozart is preserved as a museum displaying his childhood instruments. It is here where teams will continue their race around the world for $20.
Vern & TiB who arrived at 0:47 on Friday, February 26th will depart slightly before 12 hours later (due to their first place reward and then the 5 min pretzel detour credit) at 12:32 on Friday, February 26th.
The look of it. The taste of it. The texture! I love gold so much that I even lost my genitalia in an unfortunate shmelting accident. Hence the name...Vernmember.
In the 1,001 Nights detour, shave TWO minutes off your time for every correct question. Not the five like the dumdum in the brown leather jacket first said.
