It doesn't take long for things to feel...off. You scout ahead of what is now a twenty two person caravan and peer down the dirty road. The woods are dense. The large rocks alongside it would make for good cover. And the flock of birds being stirred by something and flying off to the West wasn't a very good sign.

Before you can signal Akmong, an arrow whizzes just by your head and jams into the side of the wooden carriage.

"IT'S AN AMBUSH!!" Akmong shrieks as the horses neigh and kick up their front legs, bringing the carriage to a halt.

You watch as dozens and dozens of gnolls lunge out from the treeline and surround all seven of your parties. The armed and armored gnolls hiss and spit hideously as they bring their crossbows upwards and aim them directly at you.

What do you do?




Main Quest #1: Take Point

Your party quickly finds one another and forms a back to back to back triangle, but youll have to rally around just one of you. Decide on one party member to take point in the skirmish.

A. Our Support
B. Our Fighter
C. Our Mage




Main Quest #2: Move Into Position

You may rally around one person, but the line wont hold for long. When it breaks, where do you go? (Answer individually)

A. Storm into the crowd of gnolls swinging.
B. Get to the high ground on top of a large rock nearby.
C. Clamber on top of Akmong's carriage
D. Hide inside the back of Akmong's carriage.
E. Get on all fours and crawl beneath the carriage.
F. Climb a tree to use as a vantage point.
G. Sprint ahead and try to find help down the road.




Side Quest #1: Chest

A chest spills out of the back of Akmong's cart. It's locked, but your key should work. If you are in possession of a key, would you like to open it? It will cost you your key.

Bonus Quest #1: Guest Dungeon Master

Being a Dungeon Master is hard work! I need a guest DM.

You find an item in the back of Akmongs wagon. What is it? Using this chart below, choose one of the images and come up with an item idea along the same lines as the ones used in this game. Anyone who does this at all receives a small bonus of five gold, but whoever's I like the MOST will be added to the game and they will receive a bonus. If I don't like anyone's enough...sorry! No bonus for anyone.

As the ambush breaks out, you frantically dig through some of Akmongs provisions in the back of the wagon. You toss aside some health potions and scroll. You pay no mind to any armor or weapons. But instead, your eye settles on a peculiar time piece. You wind the wonky, crooked hour hand backwards and wait...and wait...and wait.

Nothing physical seems to happen, its more of a feeling. Your memory warps. You could've sworn you had spent that morning falling asleep over your spell book. You thought you had a vivid memory of waking up to discover you were robbed...but the memory was lost. Instead, you recall a peaceful morning praying to your deity and them leading you to a small purse. You check your coin purse and find your new memory validated, as extra gold and a silver key now fill what was once a bit lighter.

"Strange!" , you think to yourself.
