Haven't gotten to this yet. I find my motivation to listen to these full albums is not always there. | I like that are only 9 songs.
The first one's not terrible. I don't mind it at all. Though he seems to be lazily singing it. :P
Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus, that opening music sounds familiar. Lot less boring than the previous song (Selfless).
I like the second part of the chorus (if that's even what it is lol) of Bad Decisions, the part after "I'm making bad decisions, making bad decisions". The rest of it I'm not a fan of.
Big fat no to Eternal Summer.
After the other reviews, I was looking forward to At The Door. The vocals are good but I'm hoping it picks up/changes tempo a little bit, maybe a little drum kicks in. It doesn't. But it's still not a bad song.
I might say that Why Are Sundays So Depressing is the best song on the album?
Actually Not The Same Anymore might be, from start to finish. This one to me, really stood out. It really is "not the same" as the rest.
Ode to the Mets is a pretty good album closer. I'm about ready for the album to end now. Actually it's perfect song to close out the album.
I'm not a huge fan of The Strokes, but I might listen to a couple of these songs again in the future: Not The Same Anymore, Why Are Sundays So Depressing, The Adults Are Talking.
For the album as a whole, I'd land somewhere between 6 and 7. I'll probably go with 7.
I did it! |
