Robin - assumed the wrong person stole her bread, then bribed a drug addict with drugs to get the wrong man sentenced without any proof. She seems like a terrible person to begin with.
Amelia - she stole the bread, but she was desperate, then stayed quiet at her father's suggestion and let her husband get his hand cut, knowing he wasn't guilty. She was probably scared.
Gavin - I get it. He didn't want his daughter to lose her hand, but he told her to keep quiet and not even tell her husband.
Charles - saw the actual crime, but took the drugs he was offered to say that he saw someone else do the crime. The guy has an addiction, if he didn't want the drugs so badly, he'd have probably told the truth. I could flop him and Gavin.
Joseph - I don't think he did anything wrong. He was betrayed by his wife and father-in-law, and Charles the drug addict, and it seemed like Robin had it out for him to begin with. All he did was offer proof of the actual culprit of the crime, even though it was his own wife.
Everyone had reasons to do what they did, except really Robin, which makes her the worst of the bunch, imo.

Joseph - for letting his wife steal instead of doing it himself
|
you mean because he abided by the law? :P I took it as he didn't know she had stolen the bread. Since he seemed so angry that she had kept quiet.

Robin is just a hard-working woman who doesn't want people stealing her bread! Her only crime is taking advantage of a drug addict but she probably lives in trying times! |
She didn't have proof that Joseph stole the bread, but still got him sent down, by bribing a drug addict with drugs. And where'd she get them drugs anyhow, huh? :P

She went with her heart! How many people are in jail because of faulty witnesses/people who "just know" someone else was guilty? Happens all the time - and they probably didn't have DNA in this story. |
she forced a drug addict to lie though and say he saw Joseph commit the crime, by promising to give him drugs that she either makes herself or sells on the side. lol

Wow, 2 votes for Robin?

Does your opinion change at all if Robin was a successful businessman/part-time drug dealer?

it's like an episode of What Would You Do? where halfway through a scenario, they switch one of the actor's genders to see if anyone reacts differently.

No matter what sex/sexual preference Robin possesses, my opinion is the same. |
that Robin is not as bad as Amelia, who just wanted to eat damnit. lol And that Robin is not even as bad as Gavin, who only feared for his daughter's well-being! :P
Robin has a darkness in Robin's heart, to want someone (anyone) to pay for the crime, even though they didn't commit it, and for forcing an addict to lie about it by offering them drugs (which I still want to know how they came about) and furthering their addiction just to serve Robin's own agenda!!

Charles - Lied solely to get more drugs. Without his lie, Joseph never goes beyond an accomplice, and Gavin never enters the story.
Robin - Trading drugs for info is just a bad move, considering the drugs probably cost more than the lost loaf of bread. Trusting the word of a bad drug addict also is a dumb maneuver.
Amelia - Stealing the bread in the first place, then staying quiet about it.
Gavin - Only looking out for his daughter, but could care less about his son-in-law, douche.
Joseph - At best he's an accomplice to the theft, but beyond that, he's railroaded by the rest of the group. |
No matter how he got to be that way, Charles is addicted. He needs the drugs and he's going to get them any way he can. How does that make Charles worse than Robin?

I mean, at the very least, Charles might feel bad about it. Robin seems stone cold. lol

Robin suspected it was Joseph who stole the bread and bribed the druggie with drugs to confirm that it was him. So she had out for Joseph to begin with. Evil, I say. EVIL!!!!!!!!!
