That was pretty nuts. Right up there with USS Callister as the clear best so far, but it's almost impossible to compare the two
Andrea Risenborough did great in this, those two scenes with her and her ex were probably the highlights for me
The baby sounds instantly made my heart sink, that was brutal. Then they reveal it was blind just to rub salt in the wound ://
This one almost didn't even feel like a Black Mirror episode at times, the memory thing wasn't nearly as central/important as most of the show's other conceits. It felt like a really well-done, tense thriller for the most part, just with that element mixed in | Is this the first official overlap between episodes Black Mirror has had (with the line about the Hot Shots judge)...? Can't think of any others off the top of my head
I did feel like it was a little cheap to bring back Anyone Who Knows What Love Is tbh, I was fine with it being in the background in the accident scene but to have it so central again almost felt lazy? Wish they would've just picked something new. It's a great song tho so I can't complain too much |
