show's getting better. The first two episodes were a bit action-heavy (even though it was well choreographed for the most part) but I liked that this one took more of a step back. The courtroom scenes were good. And this Kingpin guy seems like he'll be an interesting villain, just from his last line. "It makes me feel alone"
as far as the characters go:
- I like Murdock for the most part even though he's a bit annoyingly SMUG at times!
- Hate his sidekick
- The blonde girl seems like she's primed to die at some point. Probably will get caught up too deep unraveling the Kingpin case and get killed, leading to Murdock blazing a path of destruction
- I liked Murdock's dad. I hope they bring him back in a few more flashbacks
none of the characters have really grabbed me yet but it's still early I guess. Like I said I think Kingpin could be good just based on the small glimpse at the end |

shit's getting more interesting

The confrontation between Murdock and Kingpin was very cool, I was surprised they did it so 'soon'. DIDN'T care for the convenient way that it ended but eh, it's to be expected with the genre. The villain always has to monologue/hesitate instead of just pulling the trigger. The many other comic tropes that the show employs do bother me here and there (I feel like it kinda clashes with the 'gritty' tone) but I've come to accept it. I mean, it's a comic adaptation after all
DONDE ESTA LA BIBLIOTECA! Community reference! First thing Foggy's said all series that I've liked
Kingpin's by far the most interesting part of this series. I like the direction they've taken with him, he's basically an insecure man-child at heart. Definitely a pretty unique villain. The acting choices like his strange inflection and facial quirks are pretty interesting
Other characters I've liked/found interesting: Stick, Kingpin's assistant, Murdock (sometimes), Vanessa. I still have no idea why Vanessa's with Fisk though. Does she have kind of MOTIVE? I just don't see them having much of a romantic connection from what has been shown |
