it should also be noted that nowhere in the bible does it mention anything about Lesbianism... all verses pertaining to homosexuality talk about a man sleeping with a man (and all other verses people translate as being anti-gay actually call them simply "effeminate" in the KJV... as in, don't be womanly if you are a man, straight or not.)
So, really, christians have no reason whatsoever to be against lesbianism. If we want to get technical. |
Romans 1:
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Anyway I've went to Chick-fil-A like... once? And I don't remember it even being very good. I think it's more of a SOUTHERN thing because I don't think there's any around where I live
Somehow it doesn't surprise me that something in the South has bigoted views! (:
But anyway I'm more sick of hearing about this than I actually care about it. But my take on the matter is: I disagree with CFA's stance, but I think they have every right to have that stance. We can't police people's opinions, no matter how bigoted they are. And if people come out in droves (again, it's the South, DOESN'T SURPRISE ME) to support those bigoted views... well that's their prerogative.

Lol this thread is mild compared to another message board I'm on. They have 16 pages so far on the topic. ;)

haha, yes I've had quite the lengthy discussions elsewhere as well.
|

I don't really see how gay marriage affects the church's "rights" tbh. If gay marriage were legalized, that doesn't mean you can't still view it as a sin, it just means that those that don't subscribe to Christianity don't have to abide by it. Why should gays be disallowed from marrying just because of the beliefs of a major religion?

Nah that was in Wisconsin. Only like 30 minutes away from where I live actually
It had nothing to do with this though. It was a white supremacist who shot up a Sikh temple
