pretty much all of my dev friends have been called back into office at least a few days a week at this point, but I've been lucky enough that my company is still leaving it completely optional (and since no one else from my team chooses to go in, I don't either) and I don't see that changing
definitely pros and cons to it though. Obviously the flexibility + time/money savings is hard to beat, but there are times I miss going into the office and actually...talking face-to-face with coworkers, plus having the change of scenery and more work/life separation. OVERALL though I still prefer WFH | |
I can't say there's a single thing I miss. 100% benefit imo. Before I moved my office was in my bedroom and now I have a different room for it and it feels a lot healthier, to your point about work/life separation |
the only problem with my current setup is both my work and leisure desks are in the same room, so there's days where I stop working and literally walk a couple feet and sit down at a different desk lol |
